Paloma deserved to go, so full of her own self importance, she is a bully and a liar. Calling Alex an irritant on the task and in the boardroom just confirmed her gripe with him was personal. I like Alex, there is no malice with him and fair play to him he admitted he made a mistake with the pitch and rectified it by getting the advertisement slot.

I think Liz is a strong contender, getting the dresses shifted with 20% discount won them the task. The other team trying to shift the recycled clothing was a joke, not to mention the saddo who bought that tie dress for £300!!!! A fool and their money and all that......

My neighbour closing the curtains every night in the nude. Fair enough, I should not be watching at the same given time they do it every night but at the start it was a novelty and you got a sort of kick from it. Now it's a year later and I still know it is going to happen and I cannot draw myself to not look. How can I let him know?

Olly, where do you live?  ;)

Yip, agree she had to go, annoyed me from the start, although that prat Stuart is a close second. Twenty one and looks about forty with no redeeeming qualities about him whatsoever. Twice in the boardroom now, he will not last, neither will Paloma or the moaning Minnie Sandeesh.

Love the cold weather.
Don't know what ye are complaining about anyway, most of ye have nice cosy warm offices or classrooms to go to for work.
I always find it funny where I hear of a place sending the staff home because the heating isn't working, shower of wimps the lot of ye.

It's ok if you are moving around but not so nice if you are sitting at a desk and it freezing. My workplace is freezing in the mornings but like a furnace come lunch time. Your taking your life in your hands if you dare open a window, the look some of the women give you.

Sin City is very good well worth the watch. Watched Robin Hood last week and thought it was ok, not one of Crowe's best and he got some severe criticism over the accent.  Also watched Shutter Island at long last and have to agree, you can see the twist a mile off.

It was reported in one of the papers that at least five of the trapped miners have mistresses. They might be safer staying down there!!!

Didn't like Stuart, he is too mouthy and aggressive. Didn't much like the girl with the short blonde hair and glasses either, another mouthpiece.

I read a book by a midwife set in the 1950's and there was a similar story to this with the mother being told the child would not survive when she refused to let the baby be incubated. She chose instead to nurse the baby constantly against her chest. The baby also survived.

I love miracle stories like this, lovely post Sligonian.

Tell it like it is LS. That last bit was priceless. :D

I drink Coors on a night out, Red wine on a Sat night in the house and Guinness usually when in the South. I also like cocktails and will make them the odd Sat night.

I don't drink every weekend and very rarely during the week unless it's a special occasion or something. I cannot cope with the hangovers, they last far longer now.

Yeah watched it last night on iplayer.  It would take a hard person not to be affected by their stories. So very sad.

That James Corden guy, he is on the box everytime i put the bloody thing on. Arguably the most unfunny guy to hit the tv

Totally agree. I have never found him funny either.

Also a remake of True Grit is being made with Matt Damon. Why do they do this? True Grit is a classic.

Cheers ATTB. It starts in the morning after I get up and builds up over an hr or so. Usually at this stage I just give in and take a pain killer (Don't believe in being a Martyr!!) and it's gone again til the next morning. But their still going and I know the pain killer is only a temp fix. Is that drug over the counter?

On a similar vein,  the other half doesn't believe in taking pain killers at all unless she's more or less on death's door. It's a feeling my father would have stood by aswell. He never would have taken them.

Sounds like your headaches are Sinus problems especially as it is across the forehead and you seem to get them as soon as you waken. Did you ever try taking a decongestant to see if it helps any? I would suffer the odd headache and was told to increase my fluid intake as a lot of headaches are caused by dehydration. I would drink water now during work as I am on the computer constantly and find the whole stuffy atmosphere in the office doesn't help.
