MH said himself in the interview after that game that it became a damage limitation job.

Harte hasn't adapted to the forward mark in that he still advocates the slow ponderous build up although to be fair to him there seems to be a real shortage of scoring forwards in the county at the minute. However to substitute McCurry with McCann is madness. I know McCurry missed a few today but there are better players in the county than McCann, in fact there are better defenders in St Mary's Killyclogher than him and I'm talking about the primary school!

Slight change then ;)

St Endas, Grimgrimley won by two points.
I see they topped Div 1 A in Antrim so how come they are playing Intermediate Championship

Anyone heard that Mickey Moran is the new killyclogher manager
Heard that myself , KC could get Pep Guardiola through the door and they wouldn't be worth talking about. I would rather play leapfrog with a unicorn than watch the display they put on in the county final again.

Kilcoo have just announced Micky Moran as there new manager

What way does the league work on tied points? 4 team could potentially finish on 11 points, for that to happen Pomeroy would be automatically relegated beaten by Galbally, Edendork win and Aghyaran beat Moy. How is the relegation playoff determined of that happens?

Usually goes down to score difference if 3 or more are tied and if no games have been conceded. However as ardboe conceded to Galbally that will probably mean a play off or two before the actual playoffs. I think anyway.

Its head to head result first and then score difference

Errigal have the biggest pick of any club in Tyrone?

I'd say Omagh would run them close. Coalisland at stages can have up to 50 men out from what they tell me. Carrickmore used to be in this debate but men at that club could tell you better - think there was a football/hurling split some years ago caused a bit of bother. Don't think anyone else really gets close? Maybe Dromore?

Omagh probably doesn't have as big a pick as you might think. Remember Drumragh and Tattyreagh are the same parish and  a good portion of Omagh "town" is actually in Killyclogher parish. Errigal fielding 4 teams makes a bit of a mockery of the parish not being able to support 2 clubs which as far as I know was one of the main reasons for Glencull not being accepted by the county board.

Add to this disregarding Reserve structure and introducing stand alone divisions for seconds team which has relegation involved and can be played at different times like during the week or Friday evenings. This would add more incentive to teams to fulfill fixtures and compete for promotion as a team and not a club.

Do any other Ulster counties follow the separate reserve fixtures/leagues? I know Monaghan do as my cousins play junior B and they think it's a great system. In fact, Monaghan are also trialling a new system for senior teams too, great to see alternatives being given a shot. An East Down Reserve an

I think Down do - use to work with a lad who played in Down and I think he said they did.
Down play the majority of their senior games on a Friday night. They have a Premier Reserve League for the stronger teams and also an East Down and South Down Reserve Leagues (not much GAA in North Down). The reserve games are played on a different night and as far as I know reserve games apart fron Premier Division are 13-a-side

Does the County Board effectively hire Healy Park for games? Or how does it work?

County Board owns Healy Park. It's their ground and Omagh just manage/use it on a daily basis.

County Board voted against it last night so it won't go ahead.

Omagh St Enda's own the ground and always have since they first bought it. The county board effectively hires the ground on match days. As for the county committee voting on it, what has Omagh's fundraising efforts to do with them. Do they have a vote on any other club's fundraising? Maybe there should have been some consultation regards reserving seats but like all grounds in Tyrone where there is a county game/championship game, county board run the gate and take all programme sales. Everything else goes to the hosting club.

Tyrone CB hire the venue from Omagh for that day, its not pitch and stand hire but the hire for the premises. Car parking is at the discretion of Tyrone appointed Stewards dome of which maybe from the Omagh St Enda's club.  The county committee got involved because Omagh were hijacking the Game, Reserving seats for those that pay extra for them in a game that has unreserved seating.  Did Omagh agree to waive the rental costs of Healy Park to run this event?  If Tyrone CB wanted to entertain a Dublin board delegation would they be made stand behind the goals in the rain because Omagh's fundraiser had all the seats taken.  Omagh cant have it every road. They get a lot of income from Tyrone and pitch maintenance (even though its a shocking pitch).

Who funded the stand/dressing rooms at Healy..the CB or omagh?

Probably the County Board with help from Croke Park and various other agencies but neither the stand nor changing rooms would be much use if Omagh's pitch wasn't in front of the stand

If there are no Starred games in Div3 next year does that mean there will be no league play offs required in Div 3 for promotion apart from the highest placed team not to win league or championship playing the relegation play off winners from Div 2 for a place in Div 2

Can somebody just clear up Reserve Knockout eligibility. I thought it was that if you played in your last Senior championship game then you couldn't play in reserve knockout.

Yeah that's correct.

One of the weekend losers MIGHT have grounds for an objection then.

Care to elaborate/narrow it down? I'm sure there are plenty of people on here who could quickly confirm?

Not the Division 1 final
As only 2 of the finals were played last weekend you seem to be pointing the finger at Drumragh. Anything to back it up?

Didn't name names or clubs as I wasn't 100% sure but it seems that my info may have been off the mark

I'm sure that would be easy enough to find out if an ineligible player was involved.

I agree - quote the case in question and it will be cleared up pretty quickly...someone has obviously noted a potential discrepancy somewhere!

A player (who had played in league for 1st team) was named on starting 15 for championship but was withdrawn at a very late stage and didn't play. Sorry for getting it wrong but that's why i didn't want to name names until I was 100% sure
