RIP. We in Laois lost a great servant of GAA at the weekend at a similarly young age (Lulu Carroll, RIP).

In the context of these two untimely deaths would I be off the mark in suggesting that we put the intercounty slagging matches behind us and get back to talking football. If the mods have time maybe stick a lock on the 20 or so threads slagging the Dubs or whoever.

For long haul the best thing to do is have a variety of activities. I keep myself busy with a mix of all of the below:
* 2-3 books to dip in and out of
* Crosswords
* Newspaper/Magazines
* Games on the mobile phone (DS is a good idea)
* In-flight TV/movies
* In-flight meals
* Walking around

I can never sleep for whatever reason.

Brown Thomas Café does stuff like Eggs Benedict (if that's what you're into) and isn't expensive either.

If it's a greasy fry the cafés in Arnotts and Roches are spot on too. Best place in Dublin used to be on Liffey St., not sure if it's still there.

Lies! Yeah he was brought up on the wrong side of the border alright but his father's a Laois man and it's said he only ever wanted to play for the good side.

The game is being replayed on Setanta tomorrow night at half 8. Big night on the piss Sat nite so was in bed by the time The Sunday Game started and missed the highlights.

As everybody has already said, what a comeback that was. Reminded me of Offaly/Limerick in '94 for the sheer drama and probably even topped it. Robbie Kehoe is some gem of a player, he took an awful knock right in front of us at the end of the first half but got back up and played even better in the second. Latest in a long line of great O'Ds players to line out for Laois, just like the blondey fella on the sideline 

Rest of defence did their best but Derry cut through too easily. O'Loughlin was very tightly marked but kept ploughing away. Kingston has amazing ability with the ball in his hand and is easily one of the most stylish/athletic players I've ever seen. Let's hope he picks Barrowhouse over Brisbane!

Well done to Tuohy for a VITAL contribution -- all 7 points of it. What a goal. Brian Carthy reporting on Radio 1 on he way home said it was the best goal he's EVER seen at Croke Park. Talks a lot of shite at times does Brian but it's definitely up there.

Roll on the replay, can't get enough of seeing this team. Saw both squads at their buses after the senior game finished and the difference in body language told a tale. The finish has to give us an advantage but they do need to knuckle down and plug the holes in defence for the next day.

Lads at the end of the day the are a committed bunch of players who give their all to the GAA.

The killyhevlin , that has to be a piss take, went there recently to meet a guy in connection with a job we have on in Donegal, walkd in sat down and started to read the paper sitting on one of the lobby tables, the guy i was supposed to meet rang to say he was running late , decided to grab a bit of lunch so wandered on into carvery with paper in hand , was then accosted by the hotel jobsworth who told me very loudly that the paper had to stay in the lobby and to "put it back where you got it " right says I I'll pay you for it , not for sale says he, dick.

Then when getting lunch asked one of the staff for napkins was told in a surly voice " don't have any , we've ran out"

Was up in the Killyhevlin for a wedding last year and could not complain with it. Three star at best probably but they had no problem with the headaballs from Belfast and the drinking till 6am so fine by me.

Lower Cusack for me. Think I might have to leave after the minor match though.
