Reports that United have told some journalists ''close to the club'', not to believe all the foreign media reports about Vidal joining United. They say it's not happening, no bid has been made and no contact with Juventus.... Yet reports in Chile and Italy insist a deal is likely, with some even saying that Vidal has reached a verbal agreement with United.. So, who's telling the truth?

Odds for him signing on SkyBet are currently 1-6 if that means anything?

Malachy O'Rourke lives in Clogher, or he did a couple of years ago anyway. We were up selling tickets and he answered the door to us, bought a book and seemed like a very decent fella.

He was there for a while alright while his house in Ballygawley was getting done up after flood damage.

Why would O'Rouke currently leave Monaghan to go to Tyrone, backward step?

Monaghan are not going to be around for much longer with Finlay/Clerkin/Lennon/Gollogly/Mone/Corey all heading in the wrong direction in terms of age... also O'Rourke is a Tyrone man!

Is Malachy O'Rourke not a Fermanagh man?

Malachy is indeed a Fermanagh man but has lived in Ballygawley for the last 15-18 years. Played senior football here with us in Errigal. Was a fine player and an even better manager. I would love to see him taking the Tyrone job, and no it would not be a backward step.

Massive year for Sturridge. Can he produce the goods on a regular basis when defenders don't have Suarez on the pitch to worry about? We will see but I have my doubts
Sanchez would have been the perfect buy when Suarez left.
If Sturridge hits 14-15 league goals this season Pool should be happy with that.

Did Saurez assist many of Sturridge's goals last season?

EC if that's the attitude about Dunmoyle these days then there are a lot of swelled heads about the club. The Errigal committee would need to look at what direction they want the club to go in. Seniors winning league titles is as good as a championship to the underage boys and girls and instils a winning mentality into them surly.

I know what you mean about winning mentality and all that and agree. Like I said if we make the top 4 we will go for it. Just does not excite us too much, that's all I'm saying.

Looks like Fellaini is for the chop. Hardly suprising.

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/manchester-united-transfer-news-marouane-fellaini-and-shinji-kagawa-will-be-allowed-to-leave-this-summer-9634056.html

No real evidence to say he or Kagawa are off other than a journalist trying to fill a few lines. If true it's very harsh for Fellaini in my eyes.At least half a dozen have had a lot more opportunities to prove themselves.

It is all about fitting into a system and I think he offers nothing to the system LVG prefers to play.

Killyman the club with arguably the smallest pick in Tyrone can field a reserve team and a club the size of Errigal cant. Something doesn't add up there.

Usually players from the thirds would be drafted in to make up the numbers in senior panel if needed but not this year as they are going quite well and we don't want to weaken their panel. The year is effectively over for our seniors so why bother the thirds? Nobody is that worried about the league around here.

Why aren't you? its not like you are a championship super power!

League titles just don't excite. Sure if we find ourselves in the top 4 then we will go for it but no sleep will be lost. Errigal set out every year with one target in mind. 7 out of the last 21 would suggest that we are!

Absolutely no sympathy what so ever. If he had of been at home cutting the grass he would be fine. Instead he was trying to act the hero. Even if he were just removing the flags then fair enough but no, he had to try to replace them with his beloved flag.

Natural selection I think it is called.

Talk is cheap.  Still no sign of Vidal coming in and him not likely to either.

You sure?

Surely Vidal would not join Utd. Not when another club who can offer him CL football want him. Surely not! ::)

What has become of Errigal, a footballing team at one time, now a team of thugs who can't take a beating. Between last years semi final, this years first and tonight's league game, they have tried to start a row at the end of the game. They have lost their way. Use to associate Errigal with a bit of class, but the past few tears they have lost the plot.

Fletcher could still do a job in the middle. As good if not better than Carrick.
