You all never thought that you would miss the magic that Armagh brought to the championship.   ;)

Good luck to McDonnell, he has big boots to fill.

Interesting to see how the elder players respond to this.

The King is gone, long live the King! It is all very good to say that Joe had no plan B, this comment will not look so smart when subsequent managers are trying plan C and D without success. Armagh were always a good match for their opposition in the last 5 years and while you can point to particular issues, these only became important because we were only a point behind, there is no mention of the good decision that ensured that we could match the opposition year in year out.

QuoteI think you lads dont know how lucky you are

When Armagh played Derry in 1999, not many thought we'd be destined to be in the top 4 teams in the country for the next 8 years (at least). Kernan has played his part in that, you can say he should have done this or that, with the benefit of hindsight, but even a good manager cannot work miracles. I'd say if some of youz had been at the miracle of the loaves and fishes, youz would have complained that you didn't get steak and chips.

Who is Uladh, how could he occupy the space previously occupied by Big Joe?

Vegetable roll is rank, and salad cream sandwiches even worse. Steak I say.

If you are looking for buck eejits, look to the Down management and leave the mighty Joe out of it.

not a great result in the '77 final, but Big Joe scored two goals, not a lot of people can say they scored two goals in final  (except jimmy keaveney  :(  )
