Probably the worst finals in living memory and the US viewing figures have been terrible. I'd imagine there'll be a major shake-up in the next couple of years (if not next year) to introduce a proper seeding system and try and get two decent teams in the Finals.

I think the problem is that the Western Conference is far superior to the East so im not sure how they can fix that. The Spurs were something like 1-5 to win the series with the bookies.

In fairness the Number 7/8 seeds are always around the 0.500 mark, Lakers & Warriors were both 42-40. And in the West this year the Number 8 seeds (Warriors) beat Number 1 seeds (Mavericks).

One thing you can say is the finals were a good advertisemnt for the NFL draft. Duncan and James were both No 1 picks and came in to help struggling teams.

Well the Spurs win their 3rd title in 5 years - is it too early to call them a dynasty?

I think you can call them a dynasty, the one constant has been Tim Duncan. He is the anti-Kobe Bryant, doesent care about stats or persoanl glory, just wants to win.

Colonel, any idea how your pitch is holding up with all the rain? Cushendalls pitch cannot usually take too much rain before it becomes unplayable.

He is probably a good club footballer, but any time i have seen him play for Antrim he has been rubbish. His fitness and workrate probably stands out at club level, but everyone has that at inter county level.

I think you would have to include Aodhan Gallagher of Antrim in any "Weakest Starting XV" discussion, fit as a fiddle, but alas has two left feet.......

I think people are getting a bit carried away,i would think we are still 7-8 pts behind Clare. I think people are being seduced by the hammering we gave the worst Down team i have seen. Dont forget what went before earlier in the year. I hope Clare arrive with their morale in tatters but i have a feeling they will come up and try and knock the shit out of us. We cant forget where we are in the pecking order, Clare were castigated in the media after their performance against Cork, they were beaten by 8 i think. Can you see the current Antrim team getting within 8 pts of Cork?

I got a month suspension and I should have got jail. I was one lucky tube to get away with no jail time.
