I thought Donaghmore were very reliant on C Cush on Friday night. Possible 1 man band? Clonoe very impressive against a dogged Moortown team. Could be lights out for Donaghmore.

Cush very impressive indeed . He will be a tough man to stop though . I wonder how Clonoe will set up against him . Perhaps using the man marking skills of young Conall Coyle . Or they could even bring a McAlliskey back to mark him . Similar to when Aidan OShea dropped back to mark the star Donaghy back in the day . I feel that McAlliskey would be able to physically and mentally dominate Cush . Thoughts ?
Young Conall coyle who didnt feature in 80 mins might be the answer alright to pick up the main man

Do any of these guys play in coalisland firsts?

They also Transferred in the 2 McHughs from Clonoe, Tiernan O'Neill and Shane Harte from Brocagh...along with several youth players in the last 2/3 years.

In fairness the mchughs saw what was coming down the tracks ... clonoe put more effort into their teeny boppers these days than on the pitch itself  ;)

Its a long road where there isn't a turning  :o ;D ;D ;D ;D

all that recruiting only to take a trimming
Mchughs both started last night but as for the two from Brocagh they weren't consistent starters for Brocagh in championship. Few retirements surely on the cards for coalisland

No double headers to get as much money as possible?

Or there will be 4 x double headers with 4 x semi finals from Intermediate and Junior?
Are junior and intermediate semis the week after the quarters?

Crossmaglen v Silverbridge making a live TV game this time of year is insanity.
It's a 1st round game and Cross aren't even county champions this year.
They are currently 1/14 with Paddy Power to win the game.
Of all the important games up and down the country this weekend, some of them quarter finals, outrageous this game is on Live when we are only getting x2 per week.

Kinda understand where your coming from... but there are many, myself included as a neutral (Tyrone), really looking forward to sitting down Sunday afternoon and watching this one. Just a teaser for things to come i guess.
Hopefully plenty of our games on tg4 god14, show the rest how its done. Full knockout

Do we think the live streaming of all Tyrone Championship games will be available this year? If I remember correctly, before Covid it was only really the final that could be live streamed and the feature was only brought in for all games post-Covid where attendances at games had to be lower.
All available last year so id assume same again this year, real pity no online season ticket. Would watch a game i probably wouldn't buy by itself if  this was the case like alot of you probably would too

@gaafan2, is it true that Gortin didn't accomadate the fixture change for Hugh pats wedding? Ironic if true given the abuse the rock took recently from mcgarvey and co

I thinkPaddy Tally has cleaned up the Kerry tackling, much .ore disciplined and on a par with Tyrone. Rumours that Ricey might be helping there next year .
and when exactly did tyrone stop being cynical?
Every teams cynical especially the best, it's part of the game. end thread

Has anyone any idea of what week we should expect to see games changed from Friday night? I know it'll be coming soon but just wondering is any word out? The light is fading...
Latest rumour is that  games will be brought forward to 6:30 and 7:45 as they were when leagues were threw in and will conclude on Fridays.
Suprised more teams didn't change fridays game to tonight, extra day to sunday

I think he's only nailed on over McCluskey because of media profile tbh.
True and a pity, people outside of Ulster would've only paid attention to mcluskey after his performance on Walsh

Canavans Team

Shane Ryan - Kerry
Conor McCloskey - Derry
Jason Foley - Kerry
Liam Silke - Galway
Tom O'Sullivan - Kerry
John Daly - Galway
Gavin White - Kerry
Cillian McDaid - Galway
Rian O'Neill - Armagh
Ciaran Kilkenny - Dublin
Sean O'Shea - Kerry
Shane Walsh - Galway
Paudie Clifford - Kerry
David Clifford - Kerry
Shane McGuigan - Derry

Kerry 7
Galway 4
Derry 2
Armagh 1
Dublin 1

Explanation for his picks:
https://www.skysports.com/gaa/football/news/30553/12658893/gaelic-football-team-of-the-year-2022-peter-canavan-selects-his-all-stars-xv-after-kerry-win-the-all-ireland-title

I'd take serious issue with Canavans assertion that Ryan was far and away the best goalkeeper this year,. He most definitely wasn't. Rafferty for me had a much greater impact on Armagh than Ryan had on Kerry. Using the goals conceded is also neither here nor there, you need to look at how many actual saves he had to make. It was mostly down to Kerrys defensive system and not Shane Ryan. That said Ryan has his All Ireland medal and we know what way these things work. There are a few other marginal calls that could go either way but its only one persons opinion.

Clifford is a certainty to get POTY and probably Shane Walsh and McDaid will be the 2 other nominations.

McGuigan shouldn't get one either, take away the Clare mismatch and I think he got 6 points from play in the championship.  Not the return of an All Star forward.
A division two team who beat 3 division one teams deserves more than one all start IMO, Mcluskey and Mcguigan correct for me

You'd be some fanatic to go to 24 games although I'm sure some will.

The person that goes to 24 games is not fun to be around.

What would be the right number of games for Brian and Fergal to attend?
Imagine they'll take in a lot more Intermediate games with the quota of county players bigger than any other year in recent times.
