Clarshack what type of injury did Burke pick up at the weekend? Serious campaign for yous, will be a big loss in Ulster. Hopefully not serious

A great game in dungannon tonight. But why are these teams playing at this time on a Sunday night and the same next week for Errigal and Dromore?
Especially next week with the only other game scheduled being the other semi final - strange to say the least

If Strabane are the 2nd best team in that division, it is worse than I thought

Carmen v Lough Fri night -Omagh
Dromore v Omagh Sat -Loughmacrory
Errigal v Dungannon
Clonoe v Donaghmore  Double header in Carrckmore/Pomeroy Sunday
Is edendork a contender for the Sunday maybe

Junior and intermediate semi finals on the same weekend as above game so likely 4 double headers

If for example Strabane and Aghaloo meet in championship final, which can happen, they are going to play 3 more championship games. The loser is in play offs so could win 2 of them then play winner of Clogher Cookstown. So in the same period they will have won 4 of 5 games, albeit losing a big one in championship final against a side that has played 1 game in 6 weeks.

Some momentum for the division 3 side

Pomeroy, Gortin, Cookstown and Clogher all with a long wait to play offs

There's nothing to stop Clogher v Cookstown in the meantime?

Nothing really, but the winner will have a long wait on the final game against the d3 team as well.

First time ever that a Tyrone championship game went to penos tonight. Leaves second game starting very late.

Owen Roes Gortin was penalties last year in semi final
Gortin Eglish penalties the year before

I actually like the ideas of no play offs. Looking at division 2, a team in play off eg galbally/Pomeroy who meet in first round of championship. One of those will go out on 18th September and if play offs aren't until the week after final, they have no game until 30th October. Hard for players

Example of D1 - Derrylaughlin bottom - relegated
Next 2 - clonoe v moy play off. Loser down. Eg Moy get beat they are relegated
Clonoe into play off final. They play a team from division 2 play offs. If they win they remain division 1. If beat, they are relegated. Team that beat them promoted.

As things stands - Galbally, Pomeroy, Edendork and Gortin in d2 promotion play offs. Should one of those teams or English win champo, Killeshill will get play off spot.

Galbally v Gortin
Pomeroy v Edendork
Winners play each other in semi final
Semi final winner would play Clonoe as I used them as winner in above example. No extra motivation for Moy, just trying to explain it clearly 😂

McKenna gone. McShane struggling for form. M Donnelly best years behind him. No Bradley, no Brennan, no Donaghy, no O'Neill.

You have to be honest and say it will take one hell of a job by Logan and Dooher to keep Tyrone in Division one next year.

Dooher and logan need some time to rebuild. 2021 was not consistent with where we actually are. Few of the established players are in the final years of their career and it will take time for new players to put their mark.

Too much being put into brennan, o'neill and Bradley leaving. All 3 of them hardly played in 2021 and even in 2020 they didn't feature much.

Bring in a few of the u21 and let them get some game time.

If we stay in Division 1 next year and reach a ulster final I would say it would be a success.

10. Meyler
11. Canavan
12. Canavan
13. Dazzler
14. Donnelly
15. McShane

GLOT

Big year for him. Needs to deliver on his promise.

What is this promise? Came back after a horrific injury that he was lucky to get back playing at any level to score a goal in the semi and final in last years great year. Struggled for form this year but we could say that about 80% of team. Tyrone fans are getting more and more fickle when it comes to players - mickey O'Neill, McKenna, McShane to name a few!

I see Barry O'Donnell has on twitter that there is now a two week gap between first round and quarter final in senior championship. Does anyone know any changes to intermediate and junior dates? And does this impact the final date for senior?

Does 2nd through 5th not make the playoffs in div2 & 3 as previous years?

Are the top 4 in Division 1 this year into semi-finals? Could the semis & final be played off in the 2 weekends before championship?

Yes I think it is 2nd through 5th - play offs can't be played before championship incase one of the teams meant to be in play offs win the championship. If so a team in 6th would get play off spot. Also if a team that were relegated/in relegation play off won championship it would mess that up so plays off would have to wait.

I do believe there are 3 weeks between division 1 finishing and championship starting - I think the league semi final and final are to be played those weeks. In division 2, last game scheduled for 4th September, championship  starts 15th for them so only one weekend free
