Think Dromore scalped the Fianna in a couple of those years they won it, at least once in a final. I'm sure they're fairly confident they can repeat again.

Yeah true enough but it seems they play to the level of the opposition so appear to be poor or lackluster at times. The truth is they are a super efficient outfit. Their wide count is testament to this. Will go into the final very confident

Don't know why people are sleeping on Dromore this year. 2 points off the top of the league and only beaten 3 times in 16 games this season. 2 county men and a mainstay at the tip of Div 1 in Tyrone for the last 10 years+
They'll take some beating and rightly so, a very good balanced team. I honestly wouldn't bet £1 against them in the final.

Change is not something we should jump into. The delegates were right, The players will like what they tell them to like.

A good day for Gaelic Football, all told. As Keith Duggan said in today's Irish Times, the proposal was bonkers. B for bonkers.

Now to abolish the Tailteann Cup and the split season.

Dead right. Keep it all the same, it's working great.

There's nothing wrong with the way things are. The delegates are happy enough with it and that should be good enough for all concerned. The provincials are a part of history and must not be changed.

Trillick looked razor sharp. Local Derby vs Dromore in the semi won't even faze them.

PJ Lavery is another one. Brilliant club player over the past 10 years.

I think he was on the panel for Tyrone in 2015 and getting game time in nearly every league game albeit mostly off the bench, think he got a goal down in Castlebar in a league game. Anyway the league finished up and Lavery and Dwayne Quinn dropped off the panel, it was also Quinn's first year on the panel and he had also featured in some games. Lavery certainly would have had a lot to offer Tyrone over the past 10 years.

It's not a good culture to have in a club, I think clubs should do everything in their power to facilitate their players to play at the top level. That type of stuff has taken over football in Derry and destroyed them as a county team.

It's a feature now in Down too I'm told. Kilcoo players don't want to play for the county?

Hold on sure Eglish only won it 52 years ago, are you sure they won't retain it?
And gaafan is right Eglish were extremely lucky, the keeper shouldn't have lay down that time he was elbowed in the face. Only for that, different game.

Anyone give Eglish a decent chance at a run this year?

With the McKennas and youngesters like the McGleenans, Jordan, Donnelly and Colm Byrne they have a crop of very good young players and Mattie McGleenan in charge is bound to have a good buzz around them this year.

They're very much a wild card for me, the fact McKenna has played so little for them gives them that suprise factor. Defence could be dodgy but they've got serious scoring power across the team.
They do have a good mix but are coming up against an experienced defensive side and will struggle to get enough scores to win.

I think there's a lot of potential there but inexperience might go against them. I think they certainly have the quality to make a semi final anyway and I think they will be the surprise package of this championship.
Eglish the dark horses is the general consensus across the county.  They have won the Senior Championship before and this year could see it coming back home.

"Won the senior championship before..." in 1970?! Yeah we'll with that type of form it's hard to look past them. Shut up you clampit.
