Interesting few weeks ahead, depending on how this story evolves.  Mr Bryson could come under pretty intense scrutiny- running with the hare and hunting with the hounds could see all kinds of disclosures.

Teachers should be forced to move schools every 5-8 years.

I have often thought about that myself, but I'd imagine there would be complications, changing part way through a course, and so on.

Indeed, we must have gone through a similar process when settling on a username.  This incompetence,  is it universal?  I do try not to be incompetent.  Any tips would be appreciated,  or perhaps a checklist of sorts.  Some in the profession might get precious about such things, but anything  that would contribute to enhancing the environment for students and parents could only be a good thing.

I'm alternating between 'Oh f***', and 'We can do this'.  If we can prevent Dublin getting into sequences where they get 4 or 5 scores in a row, then we could make it interesting.  Having just typed that, it looks like blatant stating the obvious,  but the key will be keeping Fenton and Kilkenny quiet, without leaving too much space for McCaffrey (presume he's fit?) or the likes.  If them two are held in check, it makes minding Mannion and O'Callaghan that bit easier.  If they get into a rhythm,  any team will suffer, because then every other player is a danger.  It's hard to judge where Dublin are relative to the Kildare and Louth games.  I can't see us giving up the same amount of scoring opportunities as Louth did, and I think if we get our starting 6 and subs in the forwards right, then we could be right there. 
I expect we'll be very defensive early doors, and the first half mightn't make for much of a spectacle, but like a lot of games this year, hopefully the 2nd half takes fire.
Usually with Ros, it's travelling more in hope than expectation,  and it's the hope that kills you.  It'll either be blown out of the water, or possibly something special and damn the torpedoes!!

In school we would all have a '2nd' team instead of just solely Liverpool or United (Arsenal fans were a rare breed then, but often not too likeable!!).  My second team was Wimbledon for years, and then a brief switch to Coventry.  Now and again it would come up in pub talk, and names would pop up that would make you go 'Jesus,  yeah'.  It all feels so long ago now- remember Oxford in the top flight?

The further you read into it, the more questions arise.  If true, then he's a monster.  If it's not- and it's very hard to imagine that scenario- then they are horrible allegations.

One thing that is particularly concerning and, frankly, worrying, is part of the narrative suggests that this was all well known, and known for a long time, in different places. 
If this is true, then how was it possible to hide in plain sight for so long?
How many knew it was 'common knowledge', and how could it happen over a prolonged time and nothing was ever done? 

The entire scenario is bizarre, It's been stuck in my head all day, especially since reading suggestions that the allegations could possibly be spurious,  which would mean a whole other response emotionally.  My initial response was to take it at face value, and I still can't see far beyond that.  Whatever transpires, I hope that other victims of domestic violence would be able to break the cycle and get out and get help.

The brilliant Galway team that ended the county's 32-year wait for Sam Maguire glory in 1998 will be honoured at Sunday's Connacht SFC final in Castlebar.

Managed by John O'Mahony, the Tribesmen upset the odds by beating Mick O'Dwyer's Kildare 1-14 to 1-10 in the All-Ireland final. Very true.  Was at the stage in college to be savvy enough to go drinking in the college bar to sort out accommodation rather than queuing half a mile for the Advertiser accommodation page.
Still sore about Donnellan's goal, a feed of pints and a fit of patriotic fervour following serial slagging all day, I offered 2/1 on Kildare.

I was late to the party with Twitter,  and originally was looking at match updates, mainly, and then parody accounts and funnier stuff, but I suppose I overdid it following Brexit and DUP stuff, so the algorithm has Jamie and Sour Jim as my first port of call each time!!
I can see how toxic it can be, yet at the same time how compelling and even addictive it can be.  One thing that bugs me is the way the algorithms can reinforce perceptions by creating a virtual echo chamber, or maybe I've got it wrong.

I used to post a good bit on Facebook, mostly to try and be half-stupid to half-funny to be some way light-hearted as well as going through mental health stuff because I would have a good lot of past pupils as friends, so the idea would be that if they could see me muddling through and I'd be available anytime for a chat or whatever.  I think over time there's less and less from people on Facebook,  and I've dropped off myself,  maybe just because it feels like it's run it's course, and insta and tiktok have taken over, and that's a step too far for me.
One thing I've noticed the last few years with the young crews in school, kids don't watch TV anymore,  tiktok has completely taken over.  Between that and music, I think that's the biggest difference with teaching 20 years ago, or when I was in school.  Then, you were identified by groupings- Man Utd v Liverpool,  Rock vs Dance, G'n'R vs Bon Jovi, etc.  I know I'm ancient in the eyes of the kids in school,  but I just can't find any common reference points anymore.  Tiktok has become a culture in itself, and I sometimes wonder if kids are missing out on the kind of tribal bonds I mentioned earlier.

If you parked the yoke and came back to find a pool of muddy water, you might be a bit annoyed. That wouldn't even happen in Clones.
