The Parrott 1 on 1 chance should have been a standard finish for any decent striker. Doherty should have hit the target with his chance.
But they "played nice football", so the fans are happy.

Clubs referring to themselves as "the town". How unimaginative is that?

Nothing to do with imagination - it's tradition.
C'mon the Town has been the catchcry of Zach's home club, Portlaoise, for decades (as indeed it has been for other towns, e.g. Athlone Town FC in soccer).

Congratulation to Zach - he did his town proud.
Hundreds of GAA clubs are towns.

The population wouldn't have kept growing to be 40 million. Prosperity would have meant smaller family sizes.

What did Lafferty say?

All the talk about wanting to build a team who can pass the ball around.
As a very basic, they should be able to defend crosses and high balls. That used to be food and drink to Irish teams who were supposedly only hoofers.

It's time for RTE to have a Red Button option where people can watch some deeper tactical analysis.
The main feed can be the usual very general O'Rourke, Spillane, Brolly type punditry that doesn't give much insight - Cavan are a proud football county, Meath always keep battling till the end.

I follow Eddie Brennan on Twitter and some of the stuff he says and the bad language make him look a bit daft.

For the last 10 years I've seen people (especially Daily Mail types) claiming the EU was on the verge of imploding. No sign yet. For all the faults it has, the single market and customs union are a huge benefit.

Cody knows himself that he can't keep blocking out the ideas from up and coming coaches. He knows his time is up.

Galway put in a great effort but from about the 45th minute Kerry looked the winners.
Galway also let Armagh back in it and maybe the fitness needs to be improved.

Much of the premise of Andrew Neil's article is that the EU is goosed, and by implication, mighty Britain will soar, and this is because major EU countries are being ruled by buffoon leaders, or are on the verge of electing buffoons.

Unfortunately, he might be overlooking who the current and next PMs of Britain are.

These three must have been getting serious money from "The Paymaster" to carry out such a torture session.
How stupid were they to think that when a man had been smashed and sliced so badly, it wasn't going to come to the attention of the Gardai?

How would Paschal Donohoe find out that I've made a profit on bitcoin?
Sorry if that's a silly question.

Do people who dabble in Bitcoin ever use them to buy anything? Or do they just accumulate them to speculate on the price?
