Quote from: straightred on November 12, 2023, 09:40:09 PMAmazing score, and at a crucial timeQuote from: thewobbler on November 12, 2023, 09:35:31 PMBeggan hit a score from play today from just inside kilcoo's half. He just stroked it - didnt try to burst the ball. It made it over the bar with about 5 yards to spare. Don't know how he does itQuote from: Deerstalker on November 12, 2023, 09:24:50 PMQuote from: Milltown Row2 on November 12, 2023, 09:21:43 PMQuote from: thewobbler on November 12, 2023, 08:25:21 PMQuote from: imtommygunn on November 12, 2023, 08:08:54 PMI'm surprised the mark is not used like this a lot more- especially with boys who can kick from range.
It's not used more often like this as most teams don't have boys who can kick from range.
Long range? You only have to kick it 20 meters I think, if you can't kick a ball 20 meters you're fuvked
He means from the mark position, like Hughes today. A lot of players can't make that shot after the mark
Yeah that's what I mean.
The mark that Beggan set up with a 15m kick to the D is the one that any footballer should fancy taking on.
I reckon 90% of club players would go backwards or sideways from where Hughes kicked his. Most of us don't have 40m kicks in us, let alone under pressure.
Quote from: SHEEDY on November 12, 2023, 10:03:49 PMStill a great player even if his club have become obnoxiousQuote from: Leftmidfield on November 12, 2023, 09:18:21 PMThought he had good game as well.Quote from: Johnnysboys on November 12, 2023, 07:21:17 PMLet's hope after that today the Dabs playing county rhetoric is finally put to bed.I personaly thought Dabs was brilliant today
Quote from: seafoid on October 30, 2023, 02:27:17 PMNetanyahu told Israelis that there was a technical solution to the Palestinian question. A series of observation towers with hands free submachine guns and cameras to relay all occupation data to the army centre at the Erez Crossing for full control. The political side was covered by the Abraham accords with the big prize of a diplomatic relationship with Saudi at the end. Netanyahu though that the Palestinians were finished. In contrast, the Muslim world is silent about the Uyghur genocide in China
The first sign that something was wrong was at the World Cup

on 7 October Hamas took out the observation towers,

the Army centre at Erez and broke through Israel's first line of defence
the commander at Erez asked the Israeli air force to bomb his building.
Now the Muslim world is united against US regional power and Western hegemony

Other than that everything is fine.
Quote from: DownFanatic on October 24, 2023, 10:04:25 AMNewry Mitchels, winners of four Down SFC titles in the 60's and the home club of the great Sean O'Neill are now defunct and out of being. Similarly, Ballykinlar, a team who reached Down SFC finals in the 60's and won a few JFC titles in the 90's are now folded too. Again, the club of Paddy 'Mo' Doherty as well. One of my earliest memories is being at the Down championship final between Newry Mitchels and Ballykinlar in 1963 (I think). Mitchels won 4-2 to 1-10. I met Paddy Doherty after the game and he was such a legend it was like meeting Santa Claus.
Quote from: razor on October 13, 2023, 11:03:24 AMWhat are you insinuating? What do you mean 'the whole truth around Faloon?'Quote from: ck on October 13, 2023, 10:36:15 AMQuote from: 5times5times on October 13, 2023, 10:21:39 AM2 Kilcoo stories this week, 2 standard acts from that shower.
1) Brannagan biting a burren player in reserve game
2) Demanding that CB remove P.F as referee on Sunday
On what basis are they demanding the change of referee? They have some arrogance to even suggest it.
Burren were just as bad with some of the antics they were up to
Also if you knew exactly what the whole truth around Faloon then they have every right to object to his appointment.
