Blast,
i wouldnt say it is a bad system some people just prefer to'feel' the heat coming from rads/heaters. The time taken to heat a house depends on the thickness of the screeds, it could take up to day to heat the house from scratch, which would be feck all good if you are away for the weekends or on holidays.
As for the heat output from geo thermal, there have been many reports where the system could not give the required output so the system had to be supplemented by another, which would completely defeat the purpose of installing it.

its a bore hole. you can do it in trenches as well which is far cheaper ( but will take a few hundres m)

geo thermal will cost up to 1500 per year to run, which is a lot on top of the huge installation costs. wood pellets are risky, Balcas (based in fermanagh) ran out of pellets so anyone lookin for them up to christmas were fecked. now theyare importing the pellet to meet demand which kinda defeats the 'green' effect of the system.
Solid stoves are very efficient and i am going for one myself with oil back up. And i havent bought into the whole underfloor heating at all, slow to heat and to cool. insulate the house better and you will save more than any heating system will provide

Accused of sexual abjuse of a minor, some girl ( who he taught) had put in her diary details of her imagined relationship with him. She also propositioned another married man. When he was accused his kids were put on the at-risk register and he wasnt allowed to be on his own with them.

Surprised this this been posted before (maybe it has?)
Shocking case altogether, and his career ruined in his prime ( he was 28)
I know the whole issues are very sensitive and have to be handled in a certain way but the way the GAA washed their hands of him is disgraceful. So much for innocent till proven.... The fact that this now (and always) innocent man was barred from even attedning games while a convicted child sex abuser was allowed disgusts me.
