Hurling Discussion / Re: Greatest Antrim Hurler
December 28, 2006, 09:29:50 AM
Eddie Donnelly was a fabulous hurler who played in a poor enough Antrim team and has to be up there among the best. His contribution to Ballycastle was immense and he played on well into his 40s. Cloot was probably the most naturally talented hurler Ulster ever produced. It's an awful shame he played most of his club hurling in Div 2 and his career ended far too early.

Four well turned out young men. They're a credit to their community. Lucky the fashion poice had a day off or they could have missed the match.

You're right Spirit. I wasn't picking on you. Sky Blue strated the bad language. A lot of kids read these threads and we should try to keep it clean.

Theres qa lot of bad language on this thread. No need for it IMO.
Sky Blue was a bit foolish for starting another thread about Armagh Harps complaining about how many there are already. Hopefully Admin will merge all the Harp threads into one and put an end to this nonsense.

Great stuff O'Neill. I marvel at your ability to mix the hilariously funny with the serious; all in the one thread. Keep it up!

The Future is Louth - Shouldn't this be on the Corney one for a Friday Thread?

GAA Discussion / Best GAA thread of the last year
November 26, 2006, 11:40:44 AM
It's always quiet at this time of year so I was looking at the saved threads on the old board. Some great stuff there. Is there any way it can be archieved? I loved Ballintoys thread on Great GAA places in pictures, unsual club names started Lecale was hilarious, but my vote for the best goes to the TG4 Goal of 2005 (strated by Redhandfan). That's the one where everybody voted for the penalty by Muchay of cork in the womans final and really wound up the Tyrone posters (and TG4) . Great stuff!

Greenabovethered - is that you Eamon? Can't agree with your taste in music, but what would you expect from a pig but a grunt!
