You cant compare Gaby McCallan and Collie McCullough. Gaby has form for losing his rag and boxing toe to toe (which is wrong too). This is not treacherous which in my opinion is what McCullagh is

Gaby McCallan has been at that for years. it was no shock when he done it. at his age you'd think he would have more sense and respect for his team mates who have been out training hard since last january preparation for the Championship and a silly cowardly act like he done could have undone this if it had of been a bit earlier in the game.
As for McCullagh's incident that sort of stuff does him no favors at all, many people gave him the benefit of the doubt in the Paul Hughes incident all them years ago, ones were saying it was an isolated incident and was totally out of character for him but this sort of tackle paints a totally different picture of his character on the field.
he over stepped the mark.
wonder who the referee is tomorrow? two clinkers of games in the next 24 hours either game could go either way.

Your a bullocks also.  Your eating your words now.  Typical below par refereeing in tyrone.

What did Gaby do last night to get sent off?

[b]Punched a player in the face right in front of the linesman. Fairly straight forward decision, he had the flag up straight away, and told ref. was sitting behind it, was a clear strike.

liar liar. Stop making stuff up. Every word of that is a lie.  Where you even at the game?

anybody wanna shed light on what happened carmen yday?

I have been trying to figure this out from the end of the match yesterday. I dont think the result or more importantly our performance is a true reflexion of where we are at at the minute. We cant have become that bad in just 1 season.  We had quite a few missing, namely conor Gormley, Johnny Munroe, Colm McGurk, Niall Loughran, Mickey Slane, Mickey McCallan Peadar McMahon and Paul Hughes who i all think should be starting but this does not excuse the lack of hunger or pride which is traditional with teams from carrickmore.  Thankfully it is early in the season and alot of issues can be addressed and as they say "theres no medals handed out at this stage of the season".

Stopped reading mickeys column a long time ago  Find it quite boring.  He just seems to write about the same stuff every week, be it rule changes, the compromise rules or the railway cup.  Very Repetitive.

Hardly fadinng rrhf. Beaten in the semi final last year by the eventual champions in a game they should of won. They lst 1 league game until they were put out of the championship, then the thing went to hell because they couldnt win it. Expectations are high in Carmen at the minute. We have 3 county seniors, 2 more who played senior county football but opted out and 4 under 21s with all ireland minor medals in their pocket. Add in the fading players that you talk about and the average age is about 26.
But yes Corrigan wasnt a popular choice and there are those would blame him for the defeat to Errigal. Barney will brink his characteristics too the park!

I have to agree with Wee Roddy here, my expectations are high for the up coming year.  Get back big oz back out and on side, as i dont think KD is up to the task (good shot stopper, but all round game can be very poor at times) and get benny mc Laughlin home from down under and my expectations would be even higher.  Glad to see wee barney get his chance, something that Wee Roddy will love, after all, he is his son. ;)

Errigal Ciaran without a key Forward for Sunday
http://hoganstand.com/ArticleForm.aspx?ID=180883

errigal have no key forwards, all average enough. Hard working though but no physical presence apart from there full forward who doesnt really use his size to his advantage. I personally think Errigal won a very poor tyrone championship this year in which my opinion they were possibly 5th best team in tyrone behind coalisland, dromore, carrickmore and clonoe altough they did beat two of those teams on their way to winning the title, but championship football, the best teams dont always win.

Cross by 5 at least and it is not sour grapes, just my analysis.

What in the name of jaysus type of football are ye playing up there??????

I went on to Ladbrokes to check the odds. 11/2 the draw (shortest price I've ever seen). 2/1 No goalscorer (shorterst price I've ever seen by a county mile - in a proper intercounty game it's 2/1 about no goalscorer in a HALF). 1/3 that the game is decided by a goal or less.

Clearly that semi-final draw result I saw wasn't out of character!

The odds are very harsh but he's clearly taking no chances seeing as he's the only man pricing anything other than 60 minutes online. I don't think 6/1 or 13/2 for the draw would have killed him seeing as there hasn't been a draw in a County Final since 2000 and as for the 2/1 no goals there have been 3 of the 15 games in the Senior Championship without a goal.

FYI Boyles and Hills are 13/2 and 7/1 respectively for the draw.

There was draw in 2006 also.

I am pretty satisfied with carmens victory last nite! Thought we looked a bit nervous at the start but settle well into the gane and always looked in control.  The first round is always to me about getting a result then building on it. Great to see Colm McGurk back for his first run out of the year and with mickey slane and ben mcglaughin  rumoured to be on their way home, all bounds well for the rest of the year. Heres hoping anyways.  :)

Unless i am very much mistaken, it was an errigal player that hit first in the league final 2 years ago.
