Shur, twould be no problem anyway. The County Board would only have to cancel relegation. Easy fix....especially if a certain team is involved.

The perennial complaint about the lower championships goes on. Laois County Board could deal with this easily and change the face of the intermediate and junior championships simply by running the higher ones first. It's not rocket science.

Wins for Timahoe and Annanough last night. Didn't hear Timahoe score but Annanough beat us 1-14 to 1-8. No complaints from us, best team won. That said we missed three unbelievable goal chances in the first half. That's football, all about taking your chances.

Timahoe won well.

Stradbally are up by one point at HT, having played against the wind. Portlaoise kicked eight wides.

Very impressive result for Joseph's Barrowhouse. Themselves and Port must be favourites. Portlaoise gone already, must be one of their earliest exits ever from the minor football?

Just wondering are there two Portlaoise teams in the minor this year. The results section on Laois GAA website has them down as Portlaoise B...?

I heard one person's opinion to that effect anyway....you see Portlaoise B and think, well, their A team is probably winning.

This Portlaoise B thing has been on the website for about 3/4 years now.

This sounds awful. And to make things worse I'm forced to listen to Tommy Carr's analysis.

Analysis is a very strong word for what Tommy Carr does. He's unbelievably useless. Whatever the ref does is correct and he just won't shut up. He should sit at home talking non-stop through matches, so we don't have to listen to him and stop his "analysing"/see-and-say shite he carries on with on RTE.

Firstly, disappointed that I was so naive in this instance. There was a minority of downright nasty Dublin fans in OMP last night. I appreciate that they are in every count, including our own no doubt, but it left a sour taste for me to see grown men goading a young 16/17 year old girl for having the temerity to cheer on her team.

Par for the course. I call these people Everydub. They seem to think it's acceptable to bring this loutish behaviour along with them. If we wanted to live in Scumbagland, we'd move there. Keep your scumbaggery in Dublin, where it's normal behaviour.

It's worse than that. There will be two Division 2's, 3's and 4's. six teams per group. 10 games. Play each team twice. Can see walkovers aplenty in the lower leagues.

How does the A/B thing work? If it's like the hurling, they are independent leagues, so why not number them 1-10?

If it's like the national league hurling, 2B teams can win the Division 2 title, beating 2A teams in the semis/playoffs. Does a 2B team, winning the Division 2 title go into Division 1B or still only into 2A?

3 teams out this weekend, all in differing counties. How we couldn't nail at least 2 of these as double headers is astonishing. We've been fucked over once again my dear countymen. Will they even supply lube?

I can't imagine any other county being subjected to this. F*ck neutral grounds. It should have been a TRIPLE header in Portlaoise.

It's all part of the pseudo-macho part of the game. Our U12s played recently and had to put up with sledging, rabbit-punches and jersey-tugging for the entire game.

Like most things, a proactive ruling is needed, rather than some 17yo being paralysed from the neck down, after taking a heavy blow. You're right, action is needed now.

Anyway, I fully believed that we'd win. 

Had a dream last night that it was all a ruse to lull Offaly into a false sense of security and we went out and hurled like demons and beat them with Cheddar on the line and Whelan putting in a man of the match performance.
