Care to explain Ziggeyo? Or did you take one too many pills this morning?

Each county as a map of a country on it.

ieĀ

Tyrone = Argentia
Kerry = Brazil
Dublin = England

Yeah, but why? You can't just sat Tyrone are Argentina without explaining why FFS! They both like beef sandwiches? They both lost to the English in a recent war? What's the liink?

GAA Discussion / Re: Best GAA thread of the last year
November 26, 2006, 06:20:54 PM
It's at this time of year with your club out of the championship and the county scene over that you turn to threads like these. The thread on unusual names was great. A bit of history, a few puns and a load of craic. Good stuff! Is there anyway some of the better ones can be archieved right enough?

GAA Discussion / Re: Best Derry footballer since 1980

I'm surprised you Derry wans think so highly of Joe B. Hateful wee c**t. I'd go for Tohill or Henry D myself. Great players and gentlemen to boot. But hey, what do I know, I'm only from Armagh.

Pete McGrath strated off as a Tina Turner fan and used to play " Simply the best" on the way to matches. Later he was more of a Tom Petty man. His favorite on match day was "Free Falling".
Depends on the group of player but I think Mickey Harte has it right getting the lads to pick music. Mind you I'm a bit of a reggae fan myself and it's hard to beat Jimmy Cliff so maybe your old boss wasn't too far off the mark.

GAA Discussion / Re: club v club?

This is madness! Thank God Qeen's or UU don't enter county club competitions. If they ever do, players should have to choose. Its had enough arranging fixture with county commitments, minors, u21 & hurling without this crap.

Yeah it's very attractive. Much more to it than the old one.
