Chaps with my SKY+ AI final in mind, how does one take from SKY+ to DVD.

I was hoping I could pull it onto the laptop as a file, but I believe I need a DVD recorder. Is that right?

I have done what you hope to do. You need your DVD recorder tuned into your TV and as you play the match you hit record on your recorder. Same as with a video recorder.

Osama Bin Laden released a video statement on August 25th, and to prove he
