Villa, Arsenal & Liverpool will determin whether United win the league by double digits or it becomes a close run-in.   Beating Inter in their present form will also be a huge step towards retaining the CL.   Couldn't really care much about the league cup & fa cup, nice to win but would like to see weakened sides being played in both these comps with greater glories in mind.

13 year-old dad Alfie Patten has decided to join Fathers for Justice.  He doesn't quite understand the politics but he already has a Spiderman costume...

I was visiting a mate in Jeruslaem Street last Friday night and when leaving Andersonstown was told to watch myself in 'that' street!  My mate then told me a few horror stories and said that even the students did their level best to avoid it!

When I got there there were a few kids playing hurley/hockey with bits of timber and a stone a couple of them hurled abuse at me cos i walked on their 'pitch'.   When I go to my mates house he said it was pretty bad some nights and girls avoided it like the plague at night.

Anyone know of bad experiences suffered by students there?

15 euros at the gate in the paper. Is it £12 sterling then?   If so a bit steep.  £7 would be plenty in February.

How about a colonic irrigation session?

He'll look at you funny at first but the information leaflet will convince him its worthwhile.

The thought of him getting a lubricated pipe shoved up his jacksie will always bring a smile to your face!

Paisley's record was very impressive Corn, however whichever team won the championship in the 70s & 80s had a great chance of wining the Old European as there was really only  3 other teams to worry about (i.e. the winners of Germany, Spain & Italy) the other clubs from lesser countries were mainly complete dross.

Is there a free version of this type of mass mailing?

There used to be a website that you could send free texts limited to 25 per day.  Can't recall the domain name tho!

I deleted the other thread as it seems there are some on the board who go against the very grain of human decency.  Pathetic and a shame on both the GAA and the Irish.

QuoteChelsea have announced that Guus Hiddink will take over as temporary coach until the end of the season.

Will the bookies pay out or not on this ?

The odds are offered on permanent manager!  Why would they?

Still whoever has take this bet stands a good chance of winning because if he does a good job, there is no way Abramovic will let him leave.

General discussion / Re: Farmers beware!
February 11, 2009, 02:30:17 PM
A few farmers I've come across take absolute delight in driving their tractors with trailers on the road when the hardshoulder is free causing a huge tailback.  They take even greater delight when those overtaking vent their anger thus showing the frustration they have caused.

I came across two at "silage time" who hogged the very dangerous road between Maghera and Magherafelt, refusing to pull in.  They had empty trailers on and drove nose to tail to prevent anyone overtaking one then the other.    The tailback way probably 2-3 miles long.   I can understand where road rage comes from and if they became victims of it I don't think anyone would a have lifted a finger to help them!

50-60k would be the MAX that would go to Tyrone v Armagh 1st round game in croker.

With that crowd the place seems more than half empty and devoid of atmosphere.

QuoteThere are at least one being done for murder in that case i think.

Thats cos he turned himself in, confessed and pleaded guilty.  Not a lot of determined police work involved in that!

QuotePolice launch a murder invesigation, this is a very strange tragic story.

Expect it to go the way of the Michael McIlveen case where they drag it out for years then make a plea bargain for manslaughter/assault and get a few years at best.
