During the week is lot better than weekends, especially during term time.  Use the Fastpass system for the more popular rides.  Also, if you have seen one of the parades already, go to the popular rides while the parade is on, as lots of pewople will be watching the parade and not queueing.

Rafa has blown it.  Gerrard is not a winger and drifts in too much so we have no width.  Everything is down the middle.

Thank God for Sami...  :)

You can watch it on the BBC iPlayer if you missed it.

Just wondering if there's anywhere you can buy an Aussie Rules ball.

Torres got booked for complaining about getting kicked off the park....then Mascerano gets sent off for saying 'What's happening?' twice....ref has lost the plot.

I am a big Boston Celtics / Red Sox fan and when talking to my Yankees / Knicks supporting brother, I refer to the teams as 'us' and 'we'.  Same when I talk about Liverpool.

People on here seem to have a problem because of the 'english' aspect of the whole thing when it comes to soccer teams.  Don't see the problem myself.

General discussion / Re: African Nations Cup 08

Looks like only 3 of the squad play outside Egypt:

Mohamed Shawky - Middlesbrough ????? Never heard of him
Mohamed Zidan -  Hamburger SV
Ahmed Hassan - RSC Anderlecht

I'd say a few more will get snapped up in the summer.

It's strange that with Egypt being reigning champions and in the final again, that there isn't more of them playing at more high profile clubs.

'Oh look at me, I've won another shitty competition'.

I think there's a guy on here uses that one......

General discussion / Bjørndalen
January 03, 2008, 01:15:53 PM
Bjørndalen is one of the greatest Olympians ever and is the greatest biathlete ever.  I know most people have never heard of him but just because his sport isn't that popular, doesn't make him any less of an ahtlete.....

Bjørndalen has won five Olympic Gold medals (more than anyone in biathlon), and nine World Championship gold medals. In addition, he has a record 77 individual Biathlon World Cup victories, and became the first biathlete ever to win a FIS Cross Country World Cup race, in Gällivare, Sweden in 2006. He is also the only biathlete who has won every singles event during the same Winter Olympic Games, in Salt Lake City 2002, and just the third Olympian to win four gold medals during the same Winter Games

GAA Discussion / Re: You can't coach intelligence

There just seems to be a real 'winning is everything' attitude in a lot of clubs, even at under 8 level.

I totally agree that participation is the key and every player should have an equal chance at those ages.

Also think that you shouldn't be playing 15 a side until you get to about 12.  Smaller teams means more touches for players.

We could also bring in a system similar to pee-wee football in the States which is based on weight classification rather than age.  Maybe we could use height.  How many times does an early developing child dominate at their age group until everyone catches up, height wise, and then discover that their skills never really developed because they never had to try hard.

I was on that Northbrook team...it was Cork Garda we played in the all-ireland semi. We were the first team from ulster to participate in the all-ireland interfirms. They had loads of ex-county players...Don Davis for example playing and some more current players...Johnny Crowley as mentioned. Its taken seriously down there and its been running a lot longer. We were beat by 14 points I think, but it was a good experience all the same.

You still work for Northbrook
