Fantastic win today. Great to see Purcell scoring a goal and Zane Keenan reliable from frees. He is very important to the team. Onwards to Wexford now with a bit more confidence.

That's the issue under TOF the forwards have to be on fire because you will have to outscore the opposition. Obviously to win any game youhave to outscore your opponent but as you say, because out defense in so leaky there is more pressure on the forward lines.

Look at the score that both Fermanagh and Tipp put up against us last year.  We eventually outscored Fermanagh but despite 4 goals we couldn't get the better of Tipp.

I've said it more than once but if you have a man in the backs that can score a couple of points for you but cannot defend then you are in bother.

This is a sub forum so if I want to look at or discuss GAA at a national level I will go to the main forum. If I want to check out the Offaly football championship then I will go to the Offaly forum.

We are in a Laois GAA forum! Dunno, do we put Laois into every thread then?

How are ye boys shaping up for Sunday.Serious trip up to North Antrim for the game although venue change makes the journey about 20 minutes shorter! A nine o'clock start Sunday morning.
A must win game for both teams. Laois suffering a bit with confidence and Antrim is never an easy place to get a positive result. No team from Cheddar yet however ye have named your starting 15.

What's the thoughts on this game Sunday? Venue changed so a little bit less to travel. Any sign of a team from Cheddar? Always late in the day when the team is announced. I thought they had to be named for media etc? Will be a very difficult game but a must win (for both teams actually) We cannot afford the amount of wides we've had in the opening two games.

Any word on Cha? Will he be available after his two sendings off?

Two local derbies in the corner of LAois. Ballylinan v Killeen and Kilcruise v Graiguecullen.

In fairness we have a strong inside line and if they get sufficient supply of ball they could do damage. Need to be on top of their game.

If that's the team I would be swapping Boyle with Strong or Begley.

Great battling display from Laois and as others have said those 3 poor efforts for scores just after Laois took the lead played into Dublins hands. IF Laois had gone 3 or 4 points up maybe a bit of doubt would have upset the dubs.

Hopefully the GAA will pull back with the funds they are ploughing into Dublin and send it to counties who also need it. Anyow maybe these lads will mature and progress to the senior side. Good to see something like 2-07 from play.

Just looking at the journey to Ballycastle. It's closer to Scotland than Belfast. It is a serious journey. I would hope the hurlers head up the night before because it would require a very early start Sunday morning.

I think we are going t obe relegated anyhow so don't see how the postponement will help at all. We are not going to beat Roscommon next weekend, Kildare are a stronger team than us despite their poor form and both Meath and Galway will more than fancy their chances against us. Fair enough the Dwon game could go either way but I can't see us getting anymore that 2/3 points which won't be enough to stay up. I haven't checked but I would say we are hot favs to make the drop.
