Just watched a recently aired game: All Ireland Football Final of 1980. Kerry v Roscommon. Some brutal football, brutal refereeing and dodgy commentating. Highlight for me was Pat Spillane getting a smack in the gob with Micéal O,Hare stating that Spillane had a reputation for play acting ! And he would have the cheek to comment on teams today! Having said that there were some talented individuals on show like Jack O'Shea Seán Walsh mikey Sheehy, Tim Kinnealy, Harry Keegan, Donnellan John O'Connor and Early

Dear Members

It is with huge regret that we need to inform you that our planned A1 House Draw is not going to proceed on 17th August 2019 as advertised.

Friends of Mayobridge was set up with the specific aim to establish a development fund for the purposes of extending the playing fields and facilities in Mayobridge GAC for the benefit of present and future members.

The committee has recently received notification from the PSNI that there have been a small number of complaints about the draw arising from the antiquated and unsuitable legislation that currently governs this area, and that they will be compelled to open an investigation if the draw were to continue. While we are adamant that the Club has at all times acted appropriately, we are saddened to say that we can no longer operate the draw.
As a member of the Friends of Mayobridge club, we greatly value your support of the club and its charitable endeavours. We sincerely hope that you will continue to show support for our club.  However, should you wish to rescind your membership, your subscription will be refunded. All members will be contacted directly by email or telephone within 14 days. For further information please contact us on

I stand with Soldier "P"

Heard the Carlow coach Poacher on Newstalk speaking up Down saying there was a buzz in the county and they'll run Mayo close. I think the buzz will soon end on Saturday as Mayo will hammer them out of sight!
I predict that Mayo will mark their All-Ireland intentions this weekend and show that they haven't gone away.

Poacher always strikes me as a man with a PhD from the Cian O'Neill School of Bullsh!t. Maybe I'm being unfair to the man.

I think Liverpool will win.  But I can't see why some Liverpool fans are so confident.  3-0 win, gimme, Harry Kane tears in HD have all been mentioned in the last few pages.  The teams played twice this season, and a one goal difference was all there was between the teams.  Spurs are well capable of a draw, and a shootout. 

What's this level of confidence based on?

Not sure whether it is confidence or arrogance. Remember these were the fans who celebrating winning the Premiership in January. That went well

Yeah as I recall it was fans of rival clubs who crowned Liverpool champions in January. Doesn't suit your man's narrative though!
