I heard that club delegates do not consult their clubs and vote on a whim which I think is ridiculous. Club delegates by definition "a person sent or authorized to represent others, in particular an elected representative sent to a conference" would suggest that the delegates have the authority to make their own decision.

Surely the delegate should be voting as instructed by their club committee?

*I was in favour of the appointment based on the lack of an alternative. This will be his last term however as I cannot foresee the big one being landed.

There is no way of knowing if delegates consult their club committee's or not. I know that our's did and took our club decision to vote last night, I know of other other clubs that did similar but who knows what others do? It's like any position, if people aren't happy with their delegate surely they can stand against them at their club's next AGM.

Munroe stepped away from Management has he not? His record with the U21s for the 3 years he was there also doesnt inspire much confidence considering the quality players he had at his disposal.
Say Holmes rightly down the list and will be staying with U17s going forward.
Logan and the team probably best in line as replacement. Tally would be a welcome addition to that team as well.

Got to agree with that, if Harte is to go the only option within the county I feel would be Logan as manager with Canavan, Dooher, Peter Donnelly & Tally as a support team.

Last round of fixtures will be played the week before the Championship first round to allow teams to field with county players before their championship campaigns. Championship won't be played until Tyrone are out of the Championship so the club next match could be in 2 weeks or could be after All Ireland final.

I see Dublin County Board have informed clubs that they won't get enough tickets to cover requests from clubs. Is this a normal occurrence in Dublin due to sheer numbers of club members? Its shocking that a non-member can walk into a Supervalu and buy 8 tickets but a club member can't get their hands on one!

i wonder if you were picking a combined tyrone dublin team how many tyrone players would get in. i reckon tyrone would get harte in instead of mccaffrey on this years form only. not one other defender cluxton a shoe in. fenton kilkenny  be in the middle. im going to squeeze mattie donnelly in up front at the expense of con o callaghan though i feel o callaghan will be a superstar. thats leaving connolly mccauley flynn brogan and davy byrne as my first 5 subs. 2 0ut of 20. any one want to argue for more?

You would just squeeze Donnelly in ahead of O'Callaghan, come on! A double All-Star and you would just squeeze him in at the expense of a young lad just starting out in county football? Colm Cavanagh, Sean Cavanagh, Sludden, Harte, McCann all start in a Dublin team for me. I believe you could argue for Morgan, McCarron, McNamee as well.

See the CCC have arranged the reserve championship for Sunday 6th August.  There was me heaping praise on them for the way the fixtures have went and they go and attempt to regain their old reputation.

Reserve footballers are more or less recreational footballers bar the 7/8 lads that are pushing for a place on the senior place.  To fix the championship a day after the Tyrone games banning lads from going out enjoying the day and hopefully celebrating a win.  1st round worked well with the championship played day before Tyrone were out.

Any thoughts?

100% Agree. Many Club Footballers, not just Reserve footballers will use the Saturday evening games as a chance to let their hair down from the rigours of training training and games and most will probably be heading for the game with mates or on buses, the rest probably having a drink in a bar watching. Now being told they cant enjoy Tyrone in Croker is bad form on behalf of the CCC

Completely agree, if we were still in it I would be pushing for a Thurs/Fri night throw in. No way could you go to the Tyrone match and enjoy it knowing you had a game the following day.

So Dublin on first and then Tyrone? Can't see the powers that be allow that to happen.

Not trying to wind up but any reason Damian Cassidy was not at the Clonoe Coalisland game yesterday?

Clearly on the wind up cause nobody reacted to your other post

Perhaps Strabane (managed by an Omagh Man) made a gentlemans agreement for points to help their survival..... Anyone think of that??

+1. There's no way strabane could manage to beat a full strength omagh team in Healy park without something underhand. Hate to see that.

Lol Great to see people stating 'facts' about matches they weren't even at! You may believe it because Strabane beat a strong Omagh team yesterday fairly. Anyone at the match will confirm that!

Omagh shocked by Strabane led by an Endas man not considered up to the job in his home club.

True story! Delighted for him...the bottom of the table is going to the wire!

Omagh struggled to beat Strabane last year too. Jury still out on strabane's new manager. They don't seem to have imoved any from last year

Strabane have lost 6/7 senior team players from last season due to travelling (US, Canada, Australia) plus McBride went to Boston last week as well.

I take it Burren didn't win the Down Feile?

No, New York are. Burren won an invitation only Regional Feile, which is for teams who didn't qualify for the AI Feile.

Regional Feile also held in Owenbeg, Derry. Our lads came third in it. It was invitation only, Ardboe (Tyrone Grade 1 Feile Champions) went to the main Feile...Strabane, Killeeshil and Carrickmore (who were the other Tyrone Grade 1 semi finalists) were invited to the regional Feiles. Think Killeeshil went to Meath, not sure about Carrickmore.
