Maghery beat clans by 7 I think stinking match with 4 sent off 2 for both teams. Never seen the ref before but he wasn't on this planet and actually made the game scrappy with the stop start crap
I heard the ref was our old favourite Mr Beds, just think of what u have been missing in the old mid-board under age games. He was like the old school master to the u10 s up to b players. NUTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

silly thickness by ulster council in relation to the game. why cant it be played on the sunday evening at 5,6 or 7 as its the bank holiday weekend. from intial reports the crowd could be down to 12/14,000 max a long way of a potential full house of 20,000. saturday work and champions league final will dictate this. rte are now only showing the game defered till 10.30 and im sure would be happy to broadcast live on sunday evening. another shot in the foot by the silly boys in the big office. the bottom line is clubs will feel  the pinch as revenues drop less grants for clubs but the big staff and salaries will be paid first.  >:(

Apologies to mackers, just heard this morning that clarke has to under go surgery which will determine if he can kick another ball in his life. This is coming from a great source so, I wish him the best and hope to see him on the field again in the near future. On a other note , Armagh played kildare in friendly last night absolutely hammered by 20 points r more I heard on the grape vine so its not looking good. I dont know if result true but has anyone else heard anything.
armagh medical/ management have to have a serious look at themselves. clarkie had to wait 14 months from his injury to now be informed he needs an operation. why wasnt it done last year instead of silly rehab work which appears did not work. 14 months of rehab crazy. someones head needs to roll if true.

duff unfortunately gave away 2 crucial balls in the 2nd half which resulted in scores, however fair play to him he pressed on and was involved in the move for the winning point. crossfire u dont go to all games as ur club never ordered 1 ticket for the dublin game. sour grapes or what. but good luck next weekend but i wont be ther.

I personnally don't see what Paul Diffy has to offer and although a defender of Moriarty in the past (pardon the pun) I thought he was way off on Saturday.

Couldn't disagree more, Duffy was one of the few consistant players for Armagh throughout the league and championship last year. Not the best out and out defender, but when his defence abilities are coupled with his strength going forward then he certainly has a lot to offer (especially with the state of the half forward line last year). And as for Finn Mo, first competitive match in the best part of 5 months after playing most of the championship with an injury, after being imo Armagh's best player of the league. Didn't think he was that far off the mark anyway, a bit rusty but so was McKeever and McDonnell. Got forward a couple of times, provided a few good balls to the forward line and had a good intercept too. Personally, Duffy and Moriarty would be two of the first names on my team-sheet.
As I said in my opinion I don't see what Duffy offers I've been watching him for a couple of years now, would take your point on Mo though as I said a bit disappointing I suppose given that he's just back from honeymoon he's bound to be a bit of the pace.
apples u seem to have tinted glasses when it comes to duffy. by far armaghs best player last year and certainly in the top 4 on saturday night. where is there a better wing half back in the county. catch a grip u seem to be on the wrong game here, duffy is a very good player.

lets be honest and ask our county manager why not try corner backs from clubs. whats the point in taking murtagh in when he cant even make the cross team and will be released shortly from the panel. andy and finn mo are the only two reconised corner backs in the panel. as for having micheal o rourke on the pitch and then not letting him take a free is staggering as this is his main attribute. the mc kenna cup is for trying players in positions we need to strenghen and outside young grugan, watters and mc parland we learned nothing. surely theres good corner backs in the county. duffy is a half back and proved yesterday thats wer he should play. i thought shorty clarke tried hard and young mc kenna tried but without having a clear understanding of his roll.

An invitation to all you Dublin supporters heading to Armagh for the start of the national football league on SATURDAY 5TH FEBRUARY. It promises to be a great ocassion with the offical opening of the new athletic grounds. Pearse Og gaa social club is located 20 metres beside the pitch and you are all welcome for a pre and post match drink. pints are the cheapest in the town and a good evenings crack and atmosphere can be guarenteed. iF If your heading into town later the best GAA bar is red neds in ogle street opposite the city hotel.

good draw for ogs, it will certainly have them focused and if they get their forwards back and fit should sneak through. but im sure dromintee will think the same. handy draw for harps, cross, granemore and nab. other 3 are a toss of the coin.

10 man developement squad  ??? wtf will they come up with next   :-\

I think its a good idea, there's 10 lads who might otherwise only be training with their club or at this time of the year doing nothing that are now training with Mike McGurn.  So if the time comes that they are called up to the full squad they wont have to play catch up in the strength and fitness department.
if the clubs training is right it should be enough. would u want to be used as a 10 man reserve group bad enough being 21-30 when u rarely get a game. cant understand mc kennas inclusion in the 30 very overrated at the moment and hasnt been very good in a lot of club games including b. surely better players in clubs in the county.
