Some interesting points Fuzzman.

From what I believe trails for 2014 will take place in November.

Have we had any official retirements?
I can only see Packie and maybe Stevie O'Neill walking away. Joe McMahon has committed for 2014.
I would expect Conor Gormley to have an extended break and return at the halfway point of the National League.
2014 may well be last chance saloon for the likes of Justin McMahon (struggled since 2008) and Aidan Cassidy.
God knows what's going to happen with McCarron.

I would expect an overturn in the bench fodder or Kevin Gallagher, Johnny Lafferty, etc where they have got past that age where they can be considered for the future. The likes of Tieran McCann will stay on because of this. Hopefully an extended run for Grugan and maybe even see if Warnock can step up.

New faces added to the panel could be: Shay McGuigan, Stefan Tierney, Richie Donnelly,PJ Lavery and Rory Brennan. I wouldn't be adverse to throwing Frank Burns into the mix either.

Team for first National League Match:
1. Morgan
2. Clarke
3. Joe McMahon
4. Aidan McCrory
5. Ryan McKenna
6. Justin McMahon
7. Peter Harte
8. Grugan
9. Colm Cavanagh
10. Ciaran McGinley
11. Kyle Coney- Sink or Swim
12.  Matty Donnelly
13. McCurry/Ronan O'Neill
14. Sean Cavanagh
15. McAliskey

we'd struggle to win a McKenna cup with that side.
Mark Donnelly for his work-rate and team contribution would start all day long in that forward line id say ahead of Coney at 11.
Conor Gormley is still so far ahead of all them defenders named there it doesnt bare even thinking about the trouble them 6 defenders would endure if he wasn't part of Tyrones defence in 2014 hes a certain starter if he makes himself available.

Great performance from clone.....finished off a very impressive championship. far and away the best team and steamrolled all teams except for a dogged carmen performance to stick with them for so long. a very welled organised team with individual brilliance all over, mcaliskey brilliant for first 15mins, lavery, doris and  s.mcnulty throughout and d.mcnulty in second half. very impressive to watch. doris impresses me more and more every time, i know he's old and probably wouldnt want it anyway but surely has to at least get invited for tyrone?

Colly is 27 maybe 28 but i dont think he turns it to after christmas he is a legend in tyrone club football even the best cant handle him

hes 30 i think...Great Player. Always was at every age i mind him. and a Great lad too. Deserves it all

So with the action only around the corner, what are people thinking for the Carmen VS Moy and the Clonoe VS Errigal games? Think the latter is to hard to call, ill go Carmen by 5 and Clonoe vs Errigal to draw. (really messing up this already shambolic championship for the county board as a result)

Do you think the county board would direct the ref in the clonoe errigal game to avoid a draw at all costs???

Just a thought!

I'm hoping the Errigal players will make sure it is not a draw.  ;)

they made sure of that alright.....

I agree. I don know the man but you cant upset or tar others just because he has done or has been accused of doing wrong. The dogs on the street know who he is so leave it be. Also there could be legally implications for yourself

The man in question was getting a battering on social media network Twitter earlier. He has since deleted his twitter account.

you'll always get Keyboard warriors. I Don't know what it is about this world that people just love to see other People in the Public eye Crash and ultimately Burn. Same as when somebody dies they claim to be the persons best friend when in fact when the person was living they barely gave them the light of day.
Feel sorry for the fella in question hes in the public eye alot and this would no doubt hurt him, not a bad fella just a bit silly.the implications of it he will have to live with and no doubt he will learn the hard way.Hope this isn't the end of him in a Tyrone Shirt as hes the best of a bad bunch of defenders we have in Tyrone bar the aging Conor Gormley.

Wasn't at the Moy and Trillick game. According to the Tyrone Herald Euan Deeny had a great game at CHB for Moy.
Can they put it up to Carrickmore? Sure why not. They certainly have the players capable of winning any match. All about on the day. I don't think it will be the mismatch that some recent games have served.

I like Moy's jerseys.

I thought Mellon was the star showing on the day IMO.

I don't think there will be much in it, Carmen don't have the firepower to bury Moy but I still think a decent showing from Carmen will see them through. For the record I don't think this is a classic Carmen side, but I think they're still good enough to handle the Moy. If the rest of the Moy team stand up to the plate they could take Carmen, if it's the Cavanaghs and Mellon v Carmen then the result won't ever be in doubt.

What do you think of the jerseys?
Errigal Ciaran have the nicest polo top in the county. I won't even have an argument with anyone about that fact.

Strabane have a nice top just a pity we wont have many more opportunities to see it the year  :'(

Admittedly my 1st post on this profile couldn't get into my regular 1 something wrong. Name me a better midfield section than mellon/c cav/ s cav?? Moy will not be easy beat I reckon though I'm sure carmen have the experience moy don't.

Certainly a good midfield but around the pitch there just isn't a good enough support to really challenge, I thought maybe this Moy team was different from the previous sides who heavily relied upon it's county men to get them through matches. They beat us yes but I wasn't impressed by them, the same failings that have held them back for the last 7-8 years are still present. It's a pity really because they would run riot if more of the team rose to the occasion. It's in stark contrast to the likes of Carmen, with a small county contingent but they're a real championship outfit, balanced and brave, men who wring the most out of the abilities at their disposal.

I dont think the Moy are getting enough Credit here. they could well beat Carrickmore on their day, Carrickmore have a small county contingent? they have three Penrose, Donnelly , Gormley apposed to Moys two, the two Cavanagh's.
This Carrickmore side have failed to impress me, this current side havent delivered a championship title since 2005! thats a lifetime in the eyes of a Carmen native when you look at their rich history

Moy have the strongest middle section in Tyrone.....interesting. Who is Paul Mallon? Interesting first post.

That is not his first post, he seems to delete his post after a period.

Jez lads Carrickmore have been handed a bye into the final, if they don't get complacent it will be a comfortable win.

Hopefully "brother Colm" as you like to call him will have a decent game on Saturday. Has proved over the last few months he's more than worth his place on the county panel.

Brother Colm has had a couple of decent games at the end of the championship.

I remember in our neck of the woods, a fellow who is now dead (RIP), unfortunately got hit by a car after another night of drinking. But he always got into fights. In the early days he was a poor scrapper, got lots of kickings, and I means lots, but he was as thick as champ and continued to pick fights when intoxicated, but as time progressed due to the amount of fights he got into, he started to improve and then eventually he developed into a handy enough scrapper who could hold his own and was not to be messed with. Kinda reminds me on yer man.

well that escalated quickly...

stewartstown 1-11 brackaville 0-7

Score line probably flattered Stewartstown in the end with youse pegging on a few in the dying minutes. Goal obviously changed the game. I think it's fair to say had Brackaville gotten the platform mulgrew gave stewartstown then the score may have been different. Though in fairness stewartstown deserved it over the 60mins.

brackaville had 2 good goal chances. if either one went in - it would have changed everything.

Wasnt a great game of football.

Id fancy Urney now to push on and win the championship.

The 3 sides on the other side of the draw will all fancy their chances of beating Urney, Strabane would love to get them in the final.

I seen nothing from the Strabane & Eskra game friday night that would change my mind it was like two Division Three teams so many chances Created and no end product from either set of forwards. can somebody tell me the idea of Eskra having one man forward line yet and all They never kicked a ball into him all night.very strange??Eskra are the more mobile of the two sides and seem very fit but frustrating to watch, nose bleeds when they get into the other half.
Rock v Urney Final.

Some of that Current United squad stealing a living playing football.
Giving Nani a new 5 year deal is a joke he should been given 5 days to find a new club more like it.
Anderson has been tried every season the past 5 in centre mid and is complete dead wood id take 500k for him in the current market.
Scholes and Giggs had been carrying that current squad for the past 5 years in the hope that theyd spend the money on ready made replacements not waiting and hoping that we could possibly produce a player within the ranks.
Possibly the best thing that could happen United is this current loss of form.hopefully they will reinvest some of the ronaldo money that was never reinvested unlike spurs who put there whole Bale stash into the squad and look every penny a better side for it
