will down go for insider or outsider? what are the possible options from outside the county?

re white seen him in all ireland under 21 final and was ver impressed  but alwaya got the feeling he was gonna do something mental. he has all the attributes but he buys into the needless stuff way too easily.

sorry for them typo's lads. obviously i meant gormley.

what hat are u referring to?

didnt mean to make a big point of mcmenimen but it was and is always great to see the game move on when something like that happens and the pretender just has to get up

what i meant about dooher and he is one of my favourites is that i think he's feeling the pace abit....not sayin hes not a super footballer, bit like dara in kerry that the legs may be tiring abit. miskella will be a great contest. be happy to eat my words on that but i feel that he may be commin to the end is all

great game of football out there today, proper 1/4 final. fair play to kildare, they just made the one or two simple errors that are crucial in games.

tyrone deserved to win but could of lost

deromt early was just indescribeable......just unreal

white's discipline will stop him being a top footballer unless remedied

cavanagh was very quiet

if a dub had done what gourmely did he'd be hung. in my opinion and as i point out never met the man, he is a player whom i always see involved in incidents, he appears to me to be very sly and he does seem to get involved in the antics that are not favourable. i on viewing his performances i do not like the level that he operates at. before all of you jump down my throught, i dont know him and arent attacking him personally but to me as a neutral observer i feel that if mark vaughan acted like gourley today there would be a 87 page topic on those dirty dubs.

i'm not a dub but i really dont like the way gourley operated today.

ricey went down like a ton of bricks when early swung out

kildare did drag off the ball alot

kildare are missing a few crucial players

do tyrone have any alternatives in middle sector...none seemed tried today

dooher will be found out by the years end

well done tyrone, game versus rebels will be immense

GAA Discussion / Re: Benny Coulter

all the down boys getting fierce defensive.

We're dealing with facts mortimer and forde were all stars so they deserve mention.

How much did benny score in division 3 this year?

I'm not having a pop at him or down, the players i mentioned above without checking the stats probably have scored more in their inter county careers than benny coulter.

Clarke and McDonnell on this years performances??? Dooher has barely kicked a ball and Freeman has watched the last 2 games from the stand.

posters have given coulter the benefit of the doubt because he was in a bad down team, think these players should also be afforded similar type of stance

i was only trying to point out that i've named 13 forwards there excluding coulter who would stake a claim for a place on an all ireland team. You could add in tommy walsh, conor mortimer and matty forde. Now i'm not saying that all of these are ahead of coulter but i reckon any of the players mentioned could be argued for their inclusion. I'm aware that they all have limitations and dooher and joyce are pushing on. Coulter might get into any team in the country but certainly not an all ireland xv

As i'm not fully aware of the roscommon panels strength and dept, surely some change should have been made earlier, either tactically or in personell. The biggest concern for mayo is the two morans, Bary had a stinker and wasnt too impressive in NY, while andy is not abled to tackle. I agree mayos forward ball was too straight

I think Mayo have progressed very nicely over the league and we are seeing some shape to the team, in my opinion we will have a very strong versatile bench for the summer with plenty of lads capable of coming in if the starters are struggling.

Barney i dont think you can dismiss ronaldson on yesterdays performance, wasnt at the game but have seen him on a couple of occassions and he has impressed me as an intelligent football, i also think higgins will walk back into that team but i think it will be moran or gardiner who will be struggling.

Based on what we've seen in the league i really would like to see JOM picking a team something like this:

Clarke
O'Malley
Caff
McLoughlin
Gardiner
Cuniffe
Higgins
MacGarrity
Heaney
Harte
Parsons
Trevor
Conor
O Shea
Dillon

strong half forward line to supplement our light enough mid field, can dillon play in the corner??
If you look at the players not on that team its a strong enough panel, Higgins, Nallen, Moran, Barry Moran, Billy Joe, Vaugan, COnroy, Ronaldson, Sweeney, Austin.

canal man u clearly havent a clue, no teacher is looking for to be paid! all sports teams are done for free.....the problem arises that teams cant be brought to games because there will be no 1to look after the kids the teacher has left behind. for some gaa man, ur brother was getting 150 more than any other mentor in ireland
