It's just like an episode of Shamless but you couldn't make this up. 7 children to look after and she still has time to have an affair, allegedly?

Don't know much about it myself but i saw the odds on Tiger Woods for the Masters (6/5) and he's not worth backing at that price.

Dublin voted against an anti grants motion so are in favour of the scheme. What's the postion in Cork? With all their votes they have a big influence in any vote.

I've always been against the grants but I'm still surprised that the DRA accepted a complaint from Of One Belief. They are not a constutuent member of the association. Would they consider and rule on a complaint from the FAI for example?

I think this refixed game could cause all sorts of problems with large numbers turning up just because it's free. Maybe it should be moved to a ground with a larger capacity on safety grounds. What about Navan or Newry if you don't fancy Clones.

Why don't you make it interesting and have a pint in each county?

Can't get to the match on sunday due to work so Im gutted that it won't be on TG4. It will be tight and hard but Dubs are good enough to win by 3.

And BTW why don't you change the title of this thread? The board was ruined last year with the Super Dubs/Cheeky Dubs shite. Let's not go down that road again.

What exactly is Wexford's problem???? Time for them to stop whingin and get on with preparing for Div 2.

Wexford fuming over relegation ruling
26 March 2008

Wexford have expressed their disgust at the decision to relegate them to Division 2 of the NHL rather than afford them a play-off against Dublin.

The Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) opted to relegate the Slaneysiders on the basis that they had an inferior scoring difference to Dublin after the counties finished on the same points in Division 1A. And Wexford's anger was added to when Waterford and Cork were ordered to play off on Sunday to determine the league quarter-final pairings.

Wexford chairman Ger Doyle was seething at the outcome, while manager John Meyler described it as a "kick in the teeth" for his team.

Meyler said: "It's not going to do any good for hurling in Wexford where we are trying to build and we get a kick in the teeth.

"I am disappointed. The mind boggles of how you can come up with Waterford and Cork in a play-off and Wexford relegated and Dublin stay in Division 1. You are making the rules up as you go along.

"They are going to make the rules. I don't think Wexford have any power or say at the top table."
Wexford chairman Doyle claimed that the rules have been interpreted wrongly by the CCCC.

"I am fairly annoyed with them (the CCCC) at the moment. Jimmy Dunne was of the opinion they would have a play-off, but whoever has advised the chairman of the Committee they don't need play-offs, I just can't figure it out. The rule is there."

Doyle traced the problem to the row in Cork which resulted in Kilkenny and Waterford being awarded walkovers.

"That's the crux of the problem. If Cork gave two walkovers they should be thrown out and they certainly should not be entitled to a play-off. I'm not personally against Cork. That's just a rule."

The worst display of refereeing I have ever had the misfortune to wittness. That man shouldn't be allowed near a u12 match.

These things happen. There's no way the ground was playable.

Outrageous! The club should carry the can if the individual doesn't step forward. No one in there their right mind will ever come forward as a referee if this guy gets away with punching the ref in the face. Why on earth would you do it??

He makes a good point about the north- south divide. Everybody supports the development of hurling in Dublin until we start to win.

That one was there for the talking no doubt about it. If you were colour blind you would have thought the Dubs were Cork and vis versa in the first half. Cuteness cost us in the end but I liked they way they fought to the end and after the soft goals the heads didn't go down. Some hope for the future but Cork won't be as bad again.

How many would Monaghan take to a NFL match normally? I wouldn't think it would be much more than 1500. With All Ticket games anywhere there's alway people who buy tickets then don't use them. God knows why but they do. You see empty seats at the All Ireland finals FFS.

They'll not under estimate them this time round. The win over Armagh and last years run in the championship means they'll be well respected. Is O'Shaunessy likely to be fit. The defence will need to tighten up. How come Hanratty didn't start for Monaghan v Armagh?
