Armoy beat Rasharkin by a point, Ballycastle beat again. Was not at either match but got a text.

Utd do not have the money to sign Villa or Torres or Fabregas. However what Utd need now is a decent back up to Rooney for when he is injured/ needs a rest. A superstar striker does not fit that bill. Chelseas advantage over utd this season (IMO) was the fact that Anelka was able to replace Drogba when he was missing and didnt mind playing second fiddle when Drogba was there. Berba is happy to play second fiddle but unfortunatly cannot step up to the lead role when required. If Benzema can be got on the cheap because he is unsettled at Real ( around £20 mill ) then go for it otherwise a good central midfielder please. Fabregas would be great but Utd simply cannot afford him. Thats life get over it. The two teams in the champions league final cannot afford £40 million players either. There is more to football than money as Man City proved yet again this year. And by the way Utd lost the league by a point and went out of the champions league on away goals to one of the finalists. The margins are narrow at the top and but for Rafaels red card Utd would be preparing for a third champions league final in a row.

I fancy Cork to spring a surprise in this one ( I would fancy them more if Tom Kenny was fit). Anyways too much face to be lost down leeside by the strikers if they do not pull up some trees this summer. First tree to fall will be tipp.

General discussion / Re: 6 counties election

It certainly would kill any electoral pacts ideas which would be a good thing. SB would be tight but as I said I think McDonnell might scrape it as the unionist majority there is paper thin and he would pick up alliance transfers as wel as SF and some UUP. I think the SDLP under Ritchie would very much pitch across the divide with the hard working MPs line. They would hold what they have (IMO) but I cannot see them picking up another seat. The UUP may pick up one or two at the DUPs expense.

The proposed system is AV and not PR. It will mean that McDonnell will have a tight squeeze in SB but I suspect he might well hold on. Gildernew is safe in FST. Ritchie and Durkan are safe as houses since they can now pick up all the unionist transfers to stop SF. Gerry Kelly will never take NB for the same reason. Long should hold on in EB as the alliance are transfer magnets. McCrea would be in trouble in SA and possibly Simpson in UB.

General discussion / Re: CAMERON DESTROYS UNIONISM

Whilst it is great fun to see unionism in the biggest muddle since politics began the underlying message is not good. The NI block grant will get butchered after the election regardless of who is in power and we are heading straight into a double dip recession in the six counties.

Straight Red for PJ O Connell according to the paper. Meant to have been a bit harsh but as I was not at the match I could not say for sure.

KK definitly appear to be coming back to the pack, at least a little. I went for Tipp even though I am not too fond of them. Although the Langers could be a dangerous floater this year. They are at least heading in the right direction for the first time in quite a while.

Nothing is wrong with the current leagues. Clare, who Mike Mac proudly claimed would walk Div 2 have drawn with Wexford and only beat Antrim, Laois and Carlow by less than a puck of the ball. If that does not mean the league is competitive I do not know what does. As someone said earlier if Wexford were good enough for Div 1 they would win Div 2. The fact they are struggling to get out of the division proves they are not much better than those in it.

Another player who should not have been allowed to go out on loan. He had a good spell last season linking up with McDonald before being replaced by the useless Samaras. He should be back at Celtic Park  at the end of the season.

Chavez may not be the force he once was but I think Duddy is way too open for a ( Possibly former ) top class fighter like Chavez. Chavez will probably stop him.

In fairness that look from Gerrard is hilarious :D

A lot of tinkering withthat Cork team. Is Denis trying to avoid a league final? Keep powder dry for the championship perhaps

Then why is Gerry McGeough in court at the minute for an attempted murder in 1975?

Dinnys total disregard for the league was a serious failing first time round and it would appear that nothing has changed in the intervening time.
