Hurling Discussion / Re: New Limerick Manager

i don't think they should have got rid or Richie. Remember what they were like before he joined them? Terrible, then he brought them to the AIF within 2 years, this year they lost to a strong Clare side and an improving Offaly outfit. Richie can't be blamed!

Ok guys for the record when I mentioned those Dublin fans earlier i was not talking about people on GAA boards, I am on plenty of other networks where every Meath GAA page is sabotaged by stuck up Dubs. I'm really sorry if I offended anyone here about it :(

GAA Discussion / Re: Should referee's be neutral?

Do you know if this ref was from Meath or just thought in a Meath school? the GAA have a policy of 'native parishes' which means that if a teacher was from lets just say Cavan but worked in Meath then (s)he is entitled to referee a match where a Meath team is playing.

many Dubs couldnt go to the game as they could not get tickets! that was some sham ofan idea playing the game up there

are you honestly telling me that you think that Longford aren't entitled to play a home match when they play Dublin!

Ok with the remaining group games left there seems to be some interesting ties left in store

Rathmolyon vs. Kilmessan
Kildalkey vs. Kilmessan
Kiltale vs. Dunboyne etc.

So how does anyone think the groups will finish up and more importantly, who will win the jubilee cup this year?

Apparently the water levels reached those 'doors' at the entrance of the Árd Comhairle from the pitch end. Fair play to making the pitch actually playable, let alone that well.

is it really that hard to believe that we a late because we are having a good laugh in the pub drinking some nice beer?

I rest my case.

well atleast we didnt abandon our county team beacuse they are going through a bad patcth, maybe if you boys were happier you would go to the games and enjoy the whole day.

Hmm, need I remind you the last time Dublin played a championship match outside of croker, there wasn't even 300 Dublin fans at Pearse Park for the Longford match!

As a Meathman, I would hate to see Dublin win the all-ireland! all we hear from a pile of idiot dubs who can't name a player on the panel, or know when was the last time dublin won sam was, is "ah we're so great 4 leinsters on the trot"

NEWSFLASH: 1995 was a long time ago, you're not the greatest!

Being from Moynalvy you are in no position to say anything about anything
:D

What the f**k! I'm from rathmolyon you dope! :P

how can you pick a forward thats not from kilkenny after that display yesterday? All six of them can play in any position they want, I seen henry back helping out this half backs. I love how canning plays but the kilkenny forwards are special and shouldnt be broken up.

Can't consider Eddie Brennan after yeasterday, poor match.

what about Lyng from Wexford? (can't remember his first name)

Hurling Discussion / Re: Offaly on the rise?
August 11, 2008, 04:04:12 PM
Eh for the record I'm not from Offaly, I'm from Meath!

Do Offaly have much underage success coming through the ranks? All I know is they lost out to Kilkenny in the Leinster u-21 final.
But they've had a good year this year at senior (a relitavely young team too) and with Birr making the all-ireland club final I'd say the future looks bright for the faithful.

Hurling Discussion / Offaly on the rise?
August 11, 2008, 03:47:35 PM
Offaly look like they're gonna be a force to reckon with in years to come, they beat Limerick quite comfortably, were very unlucky against waterford and actually didn't play too bad against Kilkenny (scoreline not a true reflection on game)

So what does everybody else think about the future of Offaly hurling?

Seán Óg Ó hAilpín has been on fire this season, he deserves one too.

John Mullane too.

excatly, that's the point i'm making. No point in playing Kilkenny if you can't even beat Laois.
