Mastodon are the best band going at the minute.  New album so far sounds immense. Not that bothered with anyone else on the bill. Seen that 'reformed' Thin Lizzy twice now, whatever about the sentimentality they do a storming show. Lamb of God have pulled out of it from what I've heard.

Cannot say i have actually heard much mastodon, maybe one or 2 tracks from my cousin who likes them. Yeah was reading this morning that Lamb Of God have officially pulled out. Does any1 know where marlay park actually is in Dublin?? I have never heard of the venue, been to RDS to see Guns n Roses at download in 2006 and thats really about it

Great for Irish Boxing that we finally have a World Champion since McGuigan.

Steve Collins, Wayne McClullogh.......

Fair play to Bernard, would love to see him step up in class again and fight one of the very top fighters in the weight division, I think he'll go for Martinez or Munroe first though before he has a shot at one of the huge names.

Meant to say first WBA World Champion since McGuigan

TBH if i go, it will be for Metallica & Avenged Sevenfold only....the others i am not particularly bothered bout.. Without Phil Lynott its not Thin Lizzy, more of a tribute to them... Should be a great concert anyways  got my ticket :D:D

Metallica are confirmed for an outdoor concert at Marlay Park, Dublin on Saturday 1st August 2009, subject to licence.

Supporting them will be : Avenged Sevenfold, Thin Lizzy, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Alice in Chains and the Sword
