What was so funny about that, we had a player sent of the year against Errigal and it was over turned as it was incorrect, another sent off for hitting a player back who struck him after the final whistle. We had another sent off two years ago in the final minute of injury time  in a replay, other than that I can't recall a player being sent off in sen championship football in 10 years. More than happy to be corrected
another sent off for hitting a player back who struck him after the final whistle..... Don't think so. He struck twice after the final whistle 15 yards from a linesman before Harte retaliated and this unbelievable stupidity, which you are trying to rewrite, ultimately cost clonoe against Dromore.

Harte has begun the task of rebuilding within Tyrone. The simple truth is there is no other candidate in Tyrone who can match his experience and knowledge. The man is a 'full time' Tyrone Manager, I don't know any other man who could give this 24/7 time to the job. IMO the Armagh defeat highlighted many issues that I believe he will learn from and deal with. I have my own gripes about selection and personnel but I'm not involved every night at training every night so I will trust a man who knows more than most. I also believe the squad he has is a very poor one in comparison to the AI winning teams. Only Matty Donnelly, Colm Cavanagh and Peter Harte appear to have physically developed themselves to play at this level. Too many if the rest of the squad are bluffing in terms of S&C with no chance in their physique over the last number of years. To play county football at this time at a serious level requires huge sacrifice dedication and discipline qualities our AI trams had in abundance along with their undoubted quality and talent. A lot of our young 'talent' (and some not so young) are a spoilt arrogant twitter premiership generation who feel everyone owes them something with their ridiculous attitude, co stand desire to be in the paper, stupid headphones, want to be wags and the lazy excuses for failure that are ready as quick at the flights to the USA. Change is good Harte is making it but the next squad of players need to stand up for themselves, and quickly.

At Omagh and Dunmoyle today. Carrickmore were so poor it was hard to believe. The scoreline could have been much worse for them. Omagh missed a number of very good goal chances and a penalty. Omagh were very impressive without ever having to exert themselves. Joe McMahon played very well but not 100% fit. Carrickmores 'senior' players were terrible shocked by how poor they were. They are lucky the draw gives them time to sort out whatever is wrong.
The Clonoe Errigal game was very entertaining both teams playing some good football in poor conditions. Clonoe have everything power pace and ball winning forwards who can finish. Errigal played well for 40 min but down a man the strength and power of clonoe wore them down. McDermotts sending off was harsh and helped turned the game. Having said that a number of players on both teams were very lucky to see out the hour colly Doris and davey Harte seemed to ship a lot of poor tackles. Young Patrick Dorris does Clonoe no favours acting the maggot. He will cost Clonoe dear in the years ahead as referees will have seen and heard enough from him. Am sure the clonoe posters will defend him saying Errigal singled him out but he wasn't on the pitch 10 seconds before he started the messing and brought all the unwanted attention on himself.

The black card was meant to take the cynical aspects out of football. We can see from this weekend that is absolute rubbish. Two most obvious pieces of cynicism was the handling of dermy carlin and peter harte. The crowd in both games picked up what was going on after a few minutes but the ref two linesmen and four umpires didn't. The black card is dead in the water. Glad I'm not on twitter some shocking stuff being said about players I would hope the clubs will step in

GAA Official Guide 2014, Part I. Rule 7.2 Infractions.

A One Match Suspension, applicable to the
next game in the Competitions specified,
even if that game occurs in the following year.
Don't think so Dromore had man sent of in county final two years ago and played first round the following year. Does anyone know if a card given for an incident after the final whistle carries a greater suspension?

Is anyone any wiser now in what is or isn't a black card? I'm honestly more confused now after watching tonight's game. Though Errigal can't blame ref no team can hit 10 wides in a half and win. Also think we would be better off without linesmen as they see nothing. Poor screens at the end Doris was at Harte from before the throw in and through the game though Harte did give as good as he got. Clonoe should be raging at Doris because after him 'handling' Harte for the hour he had to go after him at the final whistle. Harte wouldn't shake his hand and Doris struck him twice as the lines man came running in. he had to know he would be sent off! Because the game was technically over what will the suspension be?

Anyone hear of the County Board boo boo yesterday?

Do we have to guess?

Sure why not. Go on. Have a go.
They double booked the pitches in Garvaghey for Senior and Junior championship quarter-finals?
They didn't send a rep to the launch of the Ulster Club championships as they wont have teams ready to represent Tyrone for 20th October?
They stocked Tayto instead of Hunky Dorys in the Healy park shop?
They added an extra 0 to Cutheberts expenses cheque?
They didn't get planning permission for Paschal McConnell?
They pre-printed next years appeals to the CCCC and added an extra C.
They booked the City West for the wrong weekend next September?
I give up.

Made a Dromore full back head of security at Garvaghy?

God imagine if they had him and a certain Errigal Ciaran Full Forward on guard....there wouldn't be a inch of copper left in the place...

Sitting close to St Galls subs at game and their lack of respect for managment team was hard to believe. One 'big' player in particular was playing to the crowd giving his opinion to all who were close enough to hear. Honestly shocked by it from a team like St Galls.

Was this one 'big' player a sub or someone who was suspended ?
Started as one and finished as the other! Was in no frame of mind to go on names he called both men were childish and pathetic. But then they put him on!

Was at game and thought it was a red but wasn't surprised to see yellow but looking at that its a very dangerous tackle ball was low and gone and he hits him head high. McCullagh v lucky he didn't do serious damage. Awful tackle.

Thought Dromore very lucky not to have seen two red cards tonight. Not sure what Ref was thinking about either decision. One head high with the ball on the ground and the other a strike straight in front of him! Think Errigal have missed the boat Dromore won't be as poor wed night.

Who ever writes the player ratings in the Tyrone Herald mustn't have been at the game O'Hara was the Dromore star man!!!!!! He was roasted. How the Dromore management didn't move him off McRory sooner is hard to believe.
