Would you not just take satisfaction from them winning the award instead of moaning. Surely it would be better if 2 of the backroom staff and 2 players went (the people who earned the award). Would be funny though if there was a pic of paddy og sitting up like a king in the tele after the event.. You would be kicking yourself then!!

There is nothing wrong with being self-employed as it saves him and the county board tax. Wise up in relation to exploting Armagh as we will benefit greatly at all age groups. Have a Life if this is an attempt to create futher disharmony within the county. the proof is in the eating.

I'm not trying to create disharmony, in fact I'm delighted with the managerial team we have in place and looking forward to see how the team reacts to them over the coming months!! I agree entirely with your point on the tax.. Was just looking to know what the official line on him is (if there is any). I know its not uncommon for county's to consult various "experts", think Monaghan used a fella Connolly who works for the welsh rugby union. Was just looking to know what the situation was.

Just looking at the county website i noticed that on the page that shows the new jersey the new trainer McGurn in in the picture. It describes him as High Performance Sports Consultant from Elite Sports Belfast. What is his role...Is he self employed and are the county using him on a consultancy basis? i had the idea he was now a county board employee as he was supposed to be working with all age groups. I wouldn't like to think he is using Armagh for self promotion purposes.

My memory must be going, as I thought I had received mine prior to Xmas last year. ???  Whats the big deal. If they're bought as a present all you have to show the receiver is the confirmation letter

The big deal is if you are going to advertise that these tickets are available in the weeks prior to Christmas then it is not unreasonable to assume that people will buy them as gifts for Christmas. Whats the big deal with someone in Croke park getting their finger out of their hole and sending out the tickets on time. If this is well run last year must've been a right joke.

I read somewhere the other day that you can download a special Xmas letter from the gaa website. It confirms that you have purchased the Season ticket as a gift etc... Cant find it on the GAA site though sorry!!

Too much white.

Kieran kennedy...what a c*....

one of the rudest, ignorant people in GAA - I really wish someone would come in and give O'Neills a run for their money, or alternatively hit him a kick in the taws

why?

Speaking from experience? I agree i would love to see Adidas or the likes come in and design jerseys it would be interesting to see what they come up with. Has any of the big sportswear brands ever attempted to gain a foothold in the gaa market (i know gaa rules stop this but have they ever discussed anything with the gaa)? One thing i will say about o'neills is I have always found the quality of their products to be excellent.

Gene Duffy spoke about this at the county board meeting Peter McDonnell was appointed manager. He mentioned €30m being available over 3 years rising to €60m. Money was to go to each province for development of pitches/centres of excellence etc. Each county also to get €250k for strategic projects. He proposed the following for Armagh:
1. Defibrillators & training to be provided to each club - those who already have one to be reimbursed.
2. Laptops/computers to be provided to every club - to improve communication.
3. Buy into the new multi-sports development at St Pats, Armagh.

Win is spot on, this has to be transparent and to be honest is a topic that had completely slipped my mind however we should not be jumping to any conclusions straight away, get a club member to raise the point at the next county board meeting. Also Harold was the idea of the complex at St Pats ever mentioned in county board meetings? I thought this was just an idea that someone had mentioned on here. The confusion over the distribution of these funds could be an idea for the Irish news to get their teeth into over the next few weeks while things are quiet!!

I don't know the politics of the county board but what were the main reasons for kevin Brady being replaced? Also what's this fella Duggan like? I think that new jersey looks ok.. In line with the new O'neills designs (cork etc). More importantly any word of the squad for the McKenna cup?

think when brady announced the county champions of 2009 as armagh harps said it all

True, that cant help your cause... Ah well if all is to believed on here then good luck to Paul Duggan, sounds like a step in the right direction... theres too many Yes men on the county board someone is needed who can wield the axe from time to time!!

Pretty impressed by St Gall's today.  Have to admit I was surprised by the winning margin.  Thought that Loup would have made a real fight of it.  St Galls went in at half time with a four point cushion.  Despite the cushion I still considered that the game was far from over.  I felt Loup were still in contention courtesy of a John Brennan half time team talk and a slightly favourable wind in the second half.

But Loup came out and scored a solitary point the whole second half.
I know Loup had a spot of bad luck and were very unlucky not to get a goal but there's no doubt that St Gall's were the hungrier and fitter side.

With players of the calibre of Karl Stewart and Sean Burns coming off the bench it is hard not to admire the strength and depth of St Gall's.

How many other Antrim club players do you think would get on the St Gall's team ?

I'd have 6 non-St Gall's players on my Antrim club select team:

1. P Graham
2. C Brady
3. A McClean
4. K O'Boyle
5. T Scullion
6. J Crozier
7. S Kelly
8. M McCann (Capt)
9. A Gallagher
10. Kieran McGourty
11. Kevin McGourty
12. T McCann
13. CJ McGourty
14. R Gallagher
15. K Niblock

No Terry O'Neill, no James Loughrey?
Kevin O'Boyle is too light for top, top level All Ireland winning teams, which is what we should aspire too as there are no footballers out there better than the Galls boys

No disrespect but don't be getting carried away talking about all irelands etc, Antrim are a long way away from that level. St Galls should be certs for the all Ireland now as long as they don't believe their own hype!! Wasn't at the match but listened to it and martin mchugh was raving about anto healy.. Well done to them!!
