Sadly, it probably doesn't even rank in our top 10 worst defeats in the past 20 years.

I'd think throwing away a 7 point lead around 2005 when McCabe came in for the second half, without one of his legs, was probably worse than this weekend.

I'm not totally disheartened though. In Kerr, Guinness, Mooney, Laverty, Annett, there's some exceptional pace around the set up, and things could get very exciting if allowed off the leash. Hopefully Conor McCrickard has the desire to add to this too. Obviously we need to dig out midfielders from somewhere. How do we start a petition to keep Liatroim lads focused on the bigger ball?

Says a lot when you are looking to get hurlers to play and in a year where we had one of the easiest paths to an Ulster Final in years

Sorry Seafoid but The Pretenders  would for me come under the category of bands I would like to forget. Just couldn't warm to Chrisie Hynde from day one. Don't know why

BS it is the same all over the country. Some CCCs are dependent on some clubs to host games and they play on it holding the CCC more or less to ransom whereby clamp down on us then find another venue.  Think of the poor linesmen and sideline officials trying to carry out their duties with two coach loads of bodies in close proximity.

In my experience sanctions are only applied at provincial and national level to offending teams
The regulations governing presentation of matches is rolled out every year without fail but seldom are they enforced

Anyone think the stadia so far are superior looking to any of our provincial grounds?

Hawkeye Protocols for use where Score Detection System is installed

The Hawkeye Point Detection System is available for matches played in Croke Park and Semple Stadium. The Referee or an
umpire can initiate the Hawkeye Review for any close calls where there is an element of doubt.
In the case of an umpire initiating the process, the umpire will call for the review process by signalling a square in the air
towards the Referee. The Referee will do the same. The Hawkeye Review Official acknowledges that the review is underway
and output is then to the Big Screen and directly to the Referee from the Review Official.
Where the Referee and Umpires have made an error the Hawkeye Review Official will interrupt, ask the Referee to stop play
and initiate a Hawkeye Review
.
The flow chart below best describes the process:

Is it like 350 a round plus a mandatory caddie at 60 or 70?

The semi circle was introduced to ensure that all players were 13 metres from the player taking a penalty. It has no relevance regarding a kick out presently but in the past when kick outs were taken at different points whether it be a wide or a score it had relevance. With the kick out from the 13 m line after a wide or a score it done away with this requirement
You asked how does a referee know how they know if a ball has traveled 13m.  The same way he/she makes a judgement if a player is too close to a player taking a sideline or a free - it is a judgement call.

The introduction of the semi circle by a rules revision committee some years back who thought it would be  a good idea but there was a knock on effect on the existing rules in force at that time for both football and hurling and had to be revised. This is something I feel Rules Revision Committees do not take into consideration - the consequences of proposed rule changes and how it affects other rules.
