Will also leave the Minors needing a new management. Could Mickey take up the reigns there? Who would be the main contenders for that post?what about the u20s? Is Devlin's tenure up as well?

In relation to MH, the abuse that he takes on this board is nothing short of disgraceful (not that it will bother him) but some on here need to wise up. I'll be interested to see if results don't go the way of the new manager will they get so much abuse. Hopefully he will get involved in the club now. It would be some boost for children to have MH taking them for a coaching session.

Will there be many changes after the year that was in it in 2020. Most clubs will stay put surely?

Well that's not true considering John is away to Truagh with Larry Strain.

There is no doubt Carrickmore got out of jail last night. There is also no doubt that McHugh sided heavily in their favour throughout the match. I don't think anyone can deny that. But they won and that's all that matters.

As for the semi final, this is one that Errigal didn't want. Playing our rivals who have nothing to lose. Bad weather being given for Sunday on an already soggy and wet pitch (and a game on before it for good measure). I am really dreading this game and would not be one bit surprised if Carrickmore got the win. They are riding the crest of a wave, won a match that they probably shouldn't have but that is sometimes the best way to win. I am very nervous about this game.

As for the other one. That will be some tie. Very hard to call a winner in it. I'll slightly go for Coalisland due to the wet soggy pitch expected in Pomeroy. But there'll be nothing between them and could easily go the other way.

Quick question, why did the county board not play these games as a double header in Healy Park and avoid people having to go from Pomeroy to Dungannon?

Congrats to mickey Kerr on election. Fixtures went really well last year and May have played a big part in his election. Who will do that job now? Not trying to wind up anyone here just interested to know what the big fear would have been if harvey would have got in? Would clubs hav suffered in your opinion?

Conleth Gilligan away to Sligo with Corey. Obviously not staying with Coalisland next year, is McKeever going as well? The Coalisland boys will be all out to win against us this weekend then to give their men the perfect send off.

Any other managerial appointments or managerial casualties heard off round the county?

Rumour that Dominic could be on his way back now that he is a free agent to Carmen.

Is Dom away? I know that McElholm is now with Bonner in Donegal but hadn't heard Corrigan was away. That's a great job for John McElholm too and well deserved. Did very well with KC for the years he was there.

I think its very important that the personal attacks on players stop on this forum. If you have a gripe with Mickey then that's fine, he's the manager, he has put himself in the position for that kind of publicity. But to constantly name Aidan McCrory here in such a negative manner is wrong. Aidan is training as hard as any of the rest of the players it is not his fault that Mickey is picking him. You will not get as hard a worker for club and county so it is only fair to him and his friends and family that his name not be dragged through the mud as the reason for boys quitting the panel.End of rant

Inter-County Players Availability to Clubs
(a) The period of time during which Senior InterCounty
Players shall not be expected to fulfil InterClub
Championship Fixtures prior to Inter-County
Championship Games, in the same Code, shall be as
follows:
Senior Inter-County Championships:
(1) All-Ireland Finals - maximum 20 days.
(2) All other Games - maximum 13 days.
All other Grades of Championship, including AllIreland
Minor and Under 21 Finals - maximum 7
days.
A County Bye Law may specify a lesser period in
each case.
(b) Senior Inter-County Panels shall not be permitted
to go on Training Weekends, or training of longer
duration, after the Final of their respective National
League having been played, except during the 13
days period prior to a Senior Championship Game,
or during the 20 days prior to an All-Ireland Senior
Final.
(c) A player on an Inter-County Minor panel shall not
play in Adult Club League Competitions/Challenge
Games until his Inter-County activity for the year is
concluded.
An Inter-County panellist is defined as a player
listed in a panel of 24 players on March 1st, and
90
which may be amended and confirmed to the
County Secretary on a monthly basis thereafter.)

Considering there is absolutely no regards to this rule being shown by our county board, should club teams not now start playing their minors? I see Loughmacrory have 5 lads on the panel, surely then they should be allowed to play as this rule is clearly not being listened to. I would love to see the reaction of the county board if all the minors played for their clubs on that Thursday night!
