Sorry for the lengthy responses!! It's almost worse than Emmerdale and Eastenders this carry on!! Having not seen any Junior ball this year who are the likely promotion candidates? I'm surprised Killeeshil and the Rock aren't doing better they must have lost a lot of players?

Tyrone for Sam Pomeroy dominated the first half and but for this clown jumping the wire would have had another two points. I understand completely Pomeroy's frustration and I know HP McGeary was furious with said clown.

I note that Tyroneforsam cannot accept my argument and know you won't regardless of what I say. What I have been told is that the at fault party gave verbally abused the linesman from the start of the second half. I have been told that the linesman told the culprit that enough was a enough and that he should shut the fcuk up!

I think its pathetic to use what happened in Portlaoise in 2012 as an argument to say sure they are renowned for causing trouble so they must have been involved. The game itself was a very clean game and there were no controversial incidents. It's like saying a convicted thief had to be guilty of a recent theft because of his past yet ignoring evidence which absolves him from any fault.

Getting back to evidence all that you have offered is assumption (he must have been provoked) and allegation without evidence (no proof of injury/bruising to corroborate injury).

Getting back to Portlaoise the rule book was thrown at us and we paid the ultimate price. In this instance we have the unusual instance were both teams were impeccably well behaved. We do though have an alleged suspended player who was not assaulted who jumped the wire and assaulted a man who never seen it coming and was joined by his mate.

I would be interested to know what action Pomeroy have taken against these individuals? If they were members of our club I would expect the committee to impose a life ban as they are liabilities and would only continue to sully the clubs name in the future.

I did not name anyone by their full name though I did mention a surname. If the surname is incorrect or the person involved does not have that surname then I apologise. If that is indeed the offenders surname then what is the issue.

I'm led to believe the Pomeroy player/supporter involved in this incident had been sent off in a previous Reserve Game and was in fact suspended from playing on the day of the incident.  I think his surname is McKeever? or that's what I've been told could be wrong. If he was already suspended then that makes the offence all the more serious as he is not entitled to inside the wire at all never mind to assault someone.

I heard this boy is a loose cannon and had sent threatening messages to a previous manager so one has to wonder why Pomeroy hadn't already dealt with this individual before now if the rumours are true. I would imagine a life ban will be imposed by Pomeroy now so they can wash their hands off him if he steps out of line in future albeit its too late to mitigate for the mess they find themselves in now.

As for the Pomeroy Supporter being assaulted by the lineman with the greatest of respect that allegation is absolute BS and is not supported by any independent corroborative evidence. A second Pomeroy supporter also joined in on the assault of the linesman also and had to be restrained by a Derrytresk water carrier who was also injured albeit not seriously.

I would imagine Pomeroy will try to conjure up some excuse to mitigate for this lunatic's behaviour. I understand the rationale for such a ploy(allege said member was first assaulted) is to try and mitigate/offer a defence for what happened  and therefore to receive a more acceptable penalty being imposed by the CHC.

Pomeroy know full well the implications if Derrytresk are found not to have any involvement in this incident for them and I find it very sad and disappointing that allegations to sully a GAA volunteer's good name are circulating.

It will hinge on referee's report indeed. Video evidence could be used its likely to be poor though. Medical evidence may also be used.

No one said that there was a Derrytresk revival. Its well accepted Pomeroy were in the ascendancy. I would be very careful about making allegations without any medical evidence to support them. There is a man receiving surgery today having sustained a fracture of the eye socket. The fact is a Pomeroy supporter cleared the fence ran towards the linesman (who never saw it coming) and hit him from the side. The man then  tried to defend himself and slipped on the wet ground. From what I heard the person who cleared the fence had engaged in a verbal's with the linesman and was told to shut the fcuk up. If the Pomeroy supporter was assaulted what are his injuries? I have also heard on good authority the individual is not particularly well thought of in Pomeroy. His actions have cost his team 2 league points, he will receive a hefty suspension and some sort of penalty will be meted  out to his club. So if Pomeroy are aggrieved at what happened yesterday then then they have their supporter to thank.

Derrytresk and Pomeroy didn't kill each other it was a clean game. With approximately 27/28 minutes played when Pomeroy were 5/6 up some lunatic from Pomeroy jumped the fence and assaulted the linesman who was a Derrytresk member. The man in question has a fractured eye socket.  I am at a loss for the motive as the man who was assaulted is one of the most civil people you could meet, Pomeroy were also in a comfortable position with the game almost over. The referee subsequently abandoned the game and it'll be up to the CCC to refix the game no doubt. I would imagine the Pomeroy Players Management and Executive will be furious with the individual in question. I would also imagine that the CCC will take a very dim view of a match official being assaulted.

Just to qualify that the root of gripe was primarily with infractions which the Rock committed weren't punished, had they been who knows what the outcome of the game been. Tommy Bloomer elbowed a player in the face in Omagh and only received a yellow card and Martin McCreesh punched a player in the face when he was bending for the ball and wasn't even booked. The sending off was a turning point most referees would have booked our midfielder and McWilliams, the incident was not as serious as suggested. I do accept though our man left himself open to getting sent off and should have dropped when he was being harassed by Rock players. Anyway its over now anyway and it hardly matters now, best wishes to the Rock in Ulster. I've no doubt they'll easily progress to the final and perhaps beyond don't think Moneymore or Drumaness will trouble them too much I'd fancy the Cavan or Monaghan Champions to reach the final.

Dungannon v Warrenpoint could be a great game two good teams, Warrenpoint's previous experience at this level could prove vital. The Rock will win Ulster and depending on the quality of teams down the Country they could end up in another AI Final.
