1981 we were sliding rapidly from the highs of 77-80.
87 we were bad
97 we were plain bad
07 we had a tanned manager >:(

Down man sent off for 2nd yellow. If he'd got a black it would also mean a red and no replacement ;)

Link to the documentary. He was a hard man.

He was the type you need standing next to you in a war.
However when peace comes around you have to sideline those kind of chaps.

Well done Roscommon. Good to see a real honest-to-god team winning out in a division packed with aristocrats.
Is that a complement or an insult :D

Grossed. But what was the Net I wonder? We've heard before that Croker needs a 30,000 crowd to break even, although I assume that means both decks open. there was hardly 30'000 there on Saturday was there?
I think that 30,000 figure was based on the total cost of Croker div by the number of times it was used.
With no debt I expect one AI final pays for the running costs??.

This year's semis and finals were in the main a good case for scrapping those games.
However the Oul € argument comes into play here.
60,000 attendances probably grossed gate money of €750k.Add in programme sales, shops, bar and food....
A lot of dish not to sneezed at.

second was a 3rd man tackle.  Should have been a Black card.
Does the rule say 3rd man tackle or is it blocking the runner off the ball?
Anyway the game is done and dusted as is the entire NFL for this year.
Now the real thing is about to begin and apart from the Ulster and hopefully the Connacht - the rest of it has a terrible predictability about it. :-\

Good, deserved win. Ye won it fair and square. Now for the real stuff!"

(Maybe you'll shut up about Ballagh for a whileen now and give the rest of long-suffering himanity a well-deserved break.) ;D

I have to now pity the poor backward looking misfortunates who will be stifling in rbubarbism while the rest of their wonderful county enjoys the exciting new up and coming Ros team.

Well done lads and another shiny cupeen to go with the FBD,Hastings and Connacht U21.
Good in spots today could have been out of sight at ht.
Always looked likely winners in the 2nd half but not sealed till the goal came.
Young Connolly did well after a shaky start. How Cregg was left on for nearly 50 minutes I don't know.
Anyway good to win the cupeen but the real world starts in May.
Who remembers D2 winners beyond the Tuesday after the final ?

I think he'll find the Oul GFA provides for referendum(s) in Ireland only.
One in the 6 Cos first and then by implication one in the 26 when we get the "right" result in the 6./

Good one Dixie.
A lot of your Unionist neighbours think history began in 1971.
