What about Madoff and MF Global? Was that 'half' down to the laziness of the poor as well? AIG? Bear Sterns & Lehmans and the 100 odd other banks that have closed in the States in the last 3 years?

How does all this stop anybody getting of their arse and getting a job?

If there were 40 jobs going, and 300 apply for them, are 260 people that dont get a job lazy?
but are there only 40 jobs going? Or only 40 jobs going that you would actually do? Meanwhile there are another 300 jobs that you wouldn't lower yourself to do..... that are being snapped up by other Eastern Europeans and other Internationals prepared to come to Ireland and do whatever it takes....

No its not 40 jobs i would actually do, my point is if 40 jobs were made available tomorrow, you could get 300+ applications. people who dont get the job are lazy? also what about people who have been made redundant and may struggle to get another job because of their age? you can argue the age has nothing to do with it, but we all know a company will hire someone in their 20s before someone in their 50s

GAA Discussion / Re: International Rules 2011

Just read an article in the IN about Cooney having to defend the appointment of Kieran McGeeney to the Standing Rules Committee(?) even though Cooney is against outside managers,

Some journalists must be clueless as these topics,IMO are completely different.

donegal abu, Don't know about Murphy, but the ref was useless, sent a couple of irish players to the sin bin, when replay showed they done nothing wrong.

All the talk in ther papers and on here about the IR being finished, with many on here who would be glad to see it end. Why?

Take out 'the mark' and 'the tackle' and you essentially have a gealic match,(with a bigger target to shoot at) that is still a good watch, with some good scores and catches. In my opinion this beats the hell out of sitting for two hours watching a 0-0 draw in the PL.

Few things though,
'The mark' should be a greater distance, as the referees whistle was going steady, might also cut out possession football between the keeper and defender, also im slightly confused about the rules of the tackle this year, anyone enlighten me?

well said gold

nrico2006 it doesnt matter who threw the first punch, even if the ref did punch first, it doesnt justify him been chased down by a 20+ mob, that is most likely mainly cowards who would shit a brick if they didnt have anyone to back them up.

My point is Tyrone championship is so competitive and hardest to win once it is won it has proven very difficult at Ulster level , with Dromore having been so dominant in recent years I feel they will go far in Ulster.Derry club titles are easier won and as a result quality sides like the Loup and Ballinderry sides of the early 2000s have done well in Ulster. But yes Derry titles are easiest in Ulster to win.Derry has a very small senior football playing population and actually over achieves but facts is Derry Co titles are easy to win comparred to other counties.

but its not the easiest, 6 different teams have won it in the last 8 years, with most of them reaching the ulster final,

Onto Sunday I think Dromore will win by 4 or more.Ballinderry are a limited side , full back Mc guckin is wide open to be taken apart and a good man marking job on Gilligan will sort him , up close and personal.
Derry is such an easy championship to win really as there is only about 3 or 4 teams if in Tyrone would be Division1.
Ballinderry yes got an All ireland but really overall the standard they are playing week in week out is pretty dismal so Dromore to go on and hopefully get an Ulster.

:D :D hardly
