So no chance of King Kenny being the messiah then?

I'm not the messiah, I'm a very naughty boy.

Just listened to Woy on MOTD.  Referred to this fixture as a "team within our compass".

FFS, you're the manager of Liverpool FC!  Every team in the world should be within our compass.  Out of your depth, the last painful legacy of Hicks and Gillette.

1.  Appoint CEO
2.  Sack Woy
3.  Sign 2/3 decent players in January
4.  Try to finish mid table
5.  Begin the long, cruel climb back up

Very disappointing half from Liverpool.  I'm disappointed in our inability to put wolves under consistent pressure in their half.  Wolves are bottom, but you wouldn't think it to look at the two teams.

I'm not ruling out an away win.  Jeez but it's depressing at the moment.

I'd love to see a goal in the first twenty minutes to ease the pressure.  Should the game remain scoreless into the second half the atmosphere could become very agitated.

Having Gerrard back should be a boost, but I am by no means confident.

Unreal. Chelsea's worse run of form since they where formed in 2003.

Having watched the phone in with Henry, Warner and Ayre,  I am reasonably happy that Hodgson is a dead man walking.  The timing of his sacking will be interesting.  Perhaps if the game had went ahead today and a draw or defeat happened, the Blackpool game could have been the big one for Woy.

As it stands, I can see him staying well into the New Year.  Any signings made in January will be on the say so of Comolli, and not Woy.

The owners mentioned Comolli frequently throughout the phone in, and it is obvious that it is he who is making the decisions on transfers in both the short and long term.

For those of us who may be hoping for signings to make a major impact on this season, I feel that this will not happen.  The feeling I got was that this will be at least a three year project to have us competing again for honours.  I, personally, could live with that.

If the Utrecht game showed us anything, it was that our second string or back up players are of a distinctly average ability.  This is something we share with United in my opinion.

In general,  my ambitions for the season have been achieved.  Getting shot of Hicks and Gillette and leaving the club debt free has been massive.  I like the way the new owners talk, and am realistic enough to know that we will have to be patient for a couple of years.

But let's face it lads, apart from our European journeys in 05 and 07, we have grown accustomed to being patient!

Long time lurker on this thread,  finally decide to dip my toe in the discussion.  Not easy being a Red these days.
