Who does anyone fancy for the weekend:

Thinking of a wee fiver on 8 Teams:

Wolves
Reading
Man Utd
MK Dons
Leeds
Millwall
Wycombe
Bradford

or might split it into 2 fours and stick fiver on each - less money but better chance of getting it up i suppose

not sure how often it updated but there a bar i was working at in Sydney when i was and its now complete so i took a 'stroll' up that street and its got the building hoardings still up so might not be that up to date - be very weird if you walked past yourself wouldn't it  :D  :D  :D

On a different note if thats the sort of technology available to just anyone with a net connection what sort of capability would the American intelligence, etc have!!!!

lads - heres a site worth checking out for the owl horses:

http://www.pendletoday.co.uk/CustomPages/CustomPage.aspx?Pageid=65465

Not sure who the guy that puts the tips up is but he puts one up every day and Ive been monitoring it these last few weeks - very seldom the horse he picks isn't placed at least and one particular week Mon through to Fri he had 5 Winners in a row.  Obviously I'm not Guaranteeing he'll pick winners/placed horses every day or anything but worth a wee look if you fancy having a punt on the day.

I'm not defending America because I live here but you can't blame society nor can you judge America or Americans by what you see on TV.
Ireland isn't all Blarney stones, guinness and red haired lovelys river dancing down the street - but that is what the world is told.
Have some friggin kop on and blame the mother here and the lad himself

I didnt read one post where Society/America/Americans were blamed!!!!!!

another part was when he was dragged out into the ambulance when he first left the house and was lying in the back of it like a busted sofa and she spouting 'I'm so proud of you????? WTF??? - also agree with most others on here - was very depressing to watch - the mother and son seemed way too close to me - where the f**k was the owl boy i suppose would be a valid quetsion??

Not sure if the fella had a medical condition - the mother it did say lost her first son aged 1 and a half so it seemed like she has some physological problem.

Just wondered did anyone see this show last night on channel 4 - we had a discussion in our house of who was more to blame? the mother/then son/the american culture in general where evrything is supersize, etc.  IMO the mother was to blame - her son lying in his room 57 stone and she continually carries him double burgers and chips!!!!

Accent dropping is also a bugbear of mine. Have met loads of people here in Dublin with what you would I suppose call a "plum accent" /what I think is called a "Dublin 4 accent" outside of Dublin and am amazed to find out they came from the country. Imo there is no way they could have picked it up naturally so I have to presume they deliberately dropped their own accent.......only  for it hilariously to resurface when they are drunk. Women are by far the worst offenders.
Was gobsmacked for example to hear last week that Claire Byrne from Newstalk was from Laois, Mountrath I think.

The country posters here must have noticed this phenomenon.

Would also agree to an extent that the Dublin accent would seem to be far and away the most disliked accent in Ireland.
Bangor/North Down
