Apologies, wrong "padraig cunningham".
I  hope this younger padraig reaches his potential.
Tuam stadium to be checked out today to see if pitch going to be playable, could there still be a double header in Pearse stadium?

Below is a piece taken from an interview with galways new great hope in the forwards padraic cunningham.he had been part of all Ireland winners u21 2013
It sounds to me they are going to do a roscommon from 2 yrs ago and go all out to try and stay in division 1.

"Then speculation arose and there were talks with the Galway county board – they sat me down and told this is a big year, that they really want to push on and make a Division 1 challenge, to be there or thereabouts.

I hope it works out !!!

League form is diverse for a lot of teams, trying out new players ,systems and the like.it is imperative(like that word) For the weaker teams Galway, kildare,to try & get as many points in the early rounds to have any chance of staying up.as a Galway man I can see us realistically getting 4pts and at that a big if! It would not be good to go down after 1yr but if it happens so be  it.
May 13 is the big one and I expect Galway to once again to have the measure of mayo.
But  mayo to go on as main connacht
challengers for all Ireland honours.

Yes it's true, who celebrates fbd success.
Well bar this guy!!
It was the practice speech for what was to follow.
They dominated connacht after that so maybe it's not the worst trophy to win!!¥

The likes of mulkerrin rob finnerty, dessie Connelly  Evan murphy will all be banished to the u20 and anyone else who is eligible bar Sean Andy o ceallaigh.its a big ask for Cunningham to step up but the signs are encouraging.with Armstrong out with a  back problem, sice retired back up is thin.sean kelly impressed but dont know is he u20 this year.johnny Duane is a good addition hope he stays with the panel.

Looking at the fixtures,as a galwayman I would realistically say we have a chance of 4pts and even that would be hard achieved.
Hope I am proven wrong

Hope this Padraic Cunningham keeps improving as for tonight's game plenty of bite and (fight) it's nice to get the win.Galway sounded like they were turning over ball which is good to hear.i don't know is the new trainer paddy tally with them yet and hopefully he can improve them even more.
Looking towards the league I think Galway will struggle along with mayo and donegal.Looking forward to gal v mayo in the league, winning this one could be the difference between staying up or relegation.

Walsh  to stay on in galway, don't think it's the most favoured but I suppose for continuation purposes not a bad thing, will the players be pleased?it's hard to know I think if you see panel withdrawals, you have your answer.

I didn't see the Sunday game tonight but read elsewhere they signed off with the song,

"TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HARTE"

A coincidence or a bit of belly rubbing for mickey Harte for no interviews?

Barry Moran will be the shock inclusion to mark, donaghey.

In assessing mayo, kerry, roscommon didn't show up or were not let, you can't read too much from that.
kerry v galway I don't know, people say kerry were in 3rd gear
I wouldn't buy that totally, galway created a good 3or4 goal chances, following the same as Cork in munster final.
Kerry had the Donaghy goal ,but only created one other goal chance against a weak galway defence.
Mayo defence alot better than galway,if mayo can get enough ball to their forwards, I think it will be very close.

Prayers please for Tony Keady who is ill at the moment.
