Excellent film. Tarantino back to his best in my eyes. Loved the opening scene in France and the bar scene.

The cinema scene was beautiful shot, with Bridget von Hammersmark's laughing face being projected onto the smoke from the fire. Brilliant!

That's a bingo!

Agree - loved the cinema scene at the end, but was it not Shosanna/Emanuelle's face?

Thoroughly enjoyed this film. Was gory enough in places, but thats Tarantino!

Thought the opening scene with the Frenchman and the family under the table was excellent cinema, and they used the language switches excellently. very tense stuff.

A couple of points:
did anyone else think the casting of Mike Myers in his cameo role a bit strange? I know he can do a decent English accent, but I couldnt stop thinking Austin Powers every time he spoke.

Secondly, what was the whole point of the character of the movie critic. Seems he was just brought into the movie with the sole intention of setting up the big gunfight in the cellar.

I know its a long way before any players will actually be attendiing this facility, but how does the selection process usually work for these type of Centres?

Are young players to be hand picked from trials a la underage county teams or will each club put names forward?

You can't get some one from the same group either so on that basis it narrows it down further:
...
Knockmore or Ballaghaderreen are the ones to avoid for the group winners. I doubt any of them will fear Castlebar or Kiltane

Forgot to mention that bit in bold!

I know I have asked you this before... (and you avoided the question  ;) )

but...

Saw District 9 the other nite... Very strange movie - one of those you come away wondering WTF?!

But I found it enjoyable none the less. Thought it was quite innovative

Jesus, I dont know about Brady. I know he's always been a big talker in the dressing room and can be quite good at pumping players up before games, but I'd doubt his tactical knowledge....

Joe keane? Fantastic player and a nice fella, but is he not a bit old to be pushing on for Inter-county?

Theres two Joe Keanes playin for Cross. Young Joe is about 19, I'd say and looks a decent prospect.

He has played corner back and centre back, and has a cool head, and a commanding presence for a young fella. Good distributor also, and strong in the tackle.

High hopes for him in the future

Ahh - thanks for that, out of the country so don't know too much about the younger players on the scene these days

I know how ya feel. Missing the Championship this year and nearly drove mental listenin to Mayo Meath on the wireless  >:(
