believe club he looking to transfer to have brought in a few lads from north, looking to push up a few divisions
#1263
I know who it is now.The club he wants to transfer to now is orginally his home club
#1264
It looks like there may be another ex- Dublin panelist going on strike shortly from a club in div 2..his application to join a neighboring club was blocked by his home club

What player is this?

John Coughlan, Brendan Phelan, Stephen Mills, Liam Og etc etc . Could write a book on it in Dublin. Some of them lost out through injury.  Others like Liam Og and Coughlan have been excellent club players but maybe were thrown in too early for the senior team. Often think had Lyons not been involved Liam Og would have had a lengthy county career.

Liam Og good club player, would liked seen him tried at wing back for Dublin, played some of his best football for Crokes there.Stephen Mills and Brendan Phelan dont even played club football anymore.Mark Fitzpatrick  from Parnells was good underage defender never progressed to seniors.James Gahan think played with Naomh Mearnog played couple games looked promising then never heard of him again.

What ever happened to recruiting at the Castle or the other schools in the area

Still recruit from Castle, usually lose a few lads after minor to soccer
Council dont traditonally recruit from Gaels except for lads playing hurling.

McGuinness looks to youth

Donegal manager Jimmy McGuinness has unsurprisingly included a number of this year's under-21 squad in his panel for the 2011 senior campaign.

In total, eight new players have been drafted in to the squad as Donegal begin their season in the McKenna Cup, which is only a few weeks away now.

Six of the eight were members of the under-21 side, while Naomh Conaill pair Johnny Bonner and Marty Boyle were also included.

The full Dr. McKenna Cup panel is: Paul Durcan, Peter Boyle, Karl Lacey, Neil McGee, Barry Dunnion, Johnny Bonner, Tomas McKinley,Edward Kelly, Neil Gallagher, Rory Kavanagh, Christopher Murrin, Dermot Molloy, Michael Hegarty, Colm McFadden, Daniel McLaughlin, Marty Boyle, David Walsh, Adrian Hanlon, Michael Murphy, Paddy McGrath, Kevin Mulhern, Leo McLoone, Ryan Bradley, Kevin Cassidy, Frank McGlynn, Antoin McFadden.
