I'd like to see Henderson start ahead of Joe Allen. Joe Allen for me has struggled in the high tempo, physical games. By contrast Henderson is really coming into form & starting to show why we invested in him. He gets about the park well, is strong in a tackle & his passing has really improved in recent weeks. He is more likely to pop up with a goal or an assist than Allen as well.

I think most reds would rather see Sterling start ahead of Downing - however I agree with yBingo. Id plumb for Downing to start, with the option of Sterlings pace in the last 30mins

The team id like to see line out would be:

                   Reina
Wisdom, Skrtel, Ager, Johnson
          Lucas, Henderson
               Gerrard
   Downing, Sturridge, Suarez

I think tiernan McCann studying in Belfast as well? I make it 11 students out of 26!! Staggering contempt of the rules there by Mickey Harte. Can't see UUJ or St Mary's competing in the McKenna next year.

At what point, if any, could we realistically achieve a Catholic majority?

We'll see the new jersey on Friday lads!

Hope they keep it simple - the current jersey is probably my favourite Tyrone jersey of all. If I was nit picking i thought the 'target express' was a little too big....

Well Fuzz

I believe an annoucement on a new squad & also a new sponsor will be made by the county board fairly soon, likely towards the end of the week

Only speculation at this stage (before I get shouted at) but I believe that Coalislands Louis O'Neill & Plunkett Kane both got called up. However how experimental the squad is for the McKenna Cup we'll have to wait and see, as thats all I am aware of at the moment.

I think we will have a bit more food for thought towards the end of the week though.

Havnt seen as much of the club championships this year due to working in England but id like to see Connor McAliskey, Conan Grugan & Niall Sludden given an opportunity in January.

Mark Harte retired a few years back TTM and was making first tentative steps into management. Was he not with Bellaghy this year alongside Gavin Devlin? Obviously he spent a bit of time in mauritius early summertime & things were disrupted football wise...
I would imagine that losing McDermott will be a big blow for Errigal alright.

Good queston Fuzz

Unfortunately I agree with you. I geniunely think Kerry will win, although at odds of 8/15 I wouldnt touch them in the bookies (Im fond of a bet you see!)

Ultimately I think Kerry will shade the match because (A) they have better forwards, (B)
home advantage & (C) they have the greater need for victory here.
(D) The Tyrone full back line wouldnt be the most experienced either, and taking on Donaghy & Gooch isnt easy at the best of times
(E) Finally in close fought games free taking is crucial. Kerry have Bryan Sheehan, the best in the business. We have 4 or 5 men who will juggle the responsibility & invariably miss a few big scores.
Sheehan was made scapegoat by Kerry fans in 2008. Redemption beckons. Key man.

Few interesting things about the subs;
Ronan McNamee coming back from a long lay off.

Jonny Lafferty not listed at all? . And it cant be down to the alphabetical order issue...

He's defo a speed merchant in my opinion, certainly when compared to the full forward line which is starting, he offers something very different.
Serious prospect no question, but probably a year too early in my humble opinion. Still as fuzz says, it'll be an interesting dual with Marc O'Se. O'Se has all the craft and experience in the world but if he was to be isOlated 1v1, there could be joy to be had there...
