Anyway, no matter what happens for the rest of the year the step we've been waiting for has happened. We've moved up the ladder. Let's not forget that we haven't beaten any team of note in the championship since the 80's. We used to beat Dublin when they were at the same level as us.
It will be difficult against Galway, all our really good performances have come at home. As I said this win was vital for the progress of the county. Let's hope we see some more excellent performances for the rest of the year.

do you think beating a piss poor offaly side is progress, and then go out and get beaten by 20 points, yes they were far better than offaly on the day, lets not forget laois did lose to Antrim also so this result is no shock, Cheddar has brough this team as far as he can.

Left behind alright but could've been beaten too had Kildare been more ruthless with their goal chances.

Personally, I find it hard to be optimistic about the hurlers. I've seen too many let-downs against Offaly, and they haven't beaten them in championship since 1972, or something, so many of us - myself included - haven't seen it.

Telling the future by looking at the past assumes that conditions remain constant. This is like driving a car by looking in the rear view mirror.

Young Moore is a brilliant prospect who we shouldn't rush on to the senior panel. Let him play his under 21 and college football for another year or two.

Big surprise the other night with Ballyfin beating Ballyroan Abbey. Could be a turning point in Ballyfin's season?
Clonaslee seem to be struggling - beaten by Joseph's second string this week.

O'Dempseys strolling this league. Hammered Annanough last night. Not the best preparation for the championship for them though.
