The problem is that it has got the Huns three victories over Celtic in 2007.

Just got notice to-day of an EGM on Monday November 26th at White Hart Lane, although the agenda is all about financial matters there should still be some craic about Jol.

I have arranged to go to the Celtic AGM in Glasgow on the previous Monday unfortunately.

What the hell were Hughton and Jol doing at the Southend game on Saturday?

Ramos reputedly bringing Fredi back along with Alves (a super player) and Palop in from Seville.

PS Even though we are playing shit its good to see we can still score more goals than the Goons at Anfield and don't have to rely on late equalisers to scrape a point there ;D

Never mind Pietas, when Spirit of 91and94 is hurling abuse at me he is not self abusing himself ;D

Good blog about the Jol situation on BBC Sport. The whole thing can be traced back to the defeat by the Goons last January (after a two goal lead was lost) followed up be a similar defeat by chelsea in the FA Cup. The Board began to seriously doubt whether Jol was good enough to help the club realise its ambitions. Apparently he pissed off the Board as well, constantly claiming how much he was in demand from other clubs. This should have ended last summer, instead of allowing the current mess that was waiting to happen, to develop. I feel they got it right in their assessment, Jol is good but not good enough for a club with Champions league aspirations

Its good to see a Manager like Ramos leave a club that is doing ok in the Champions League for Spurs all the same. Hope he takes Fredi Kanoute back as well, another of Jol's serious mistakes.

One way or another the AGM is going to be good crack this year!

Are you Porky Parry in disguise?

Wenger will soon realise that he will never fulfill his European ambitions with the Goons and is bound to be made an offer he can't refuse by one of Europe's big clubs which matches his ambition ;D

The obvious solution here is Klinsmann (I too am far from convinced about Ramos, he is another Benitez, looks good on the surface but might be found wanting). Klinsmann is readily available, no big compensation fee and has stated that he wants to work in London. If Levy can't see this then perhaps he too should follow Jol down the High Road

Spirit of 91 amd 94, excellent regurgitation of the Talksport Breakfast show this morning and rehashing it as if it was your own original idea.

Bad the way it was done alright but Jol messed up big time when the chips were really down. West Ham in 2006 when a Champions League place was within grasp, and last year against Seville at White Hart Lane with the concession of two piss poor early goals and the throwing away of two goal leads against the Goons and Chelsea in the Carling Cup and FA Cup. Likeable and all that he is I don't think he was ever going to take us over the line and probably should have gone in the summer, and Camolli should have gone with him.

Feel sorry for Chris Hughton, great Irish player and a source of stability at the club for the last ten years.

What surprises me is why the lack of apparent interest in Klinsmann who has publicly stated he wants to work in London

What about the Galley in Carrickstown? Has to be a better bet than Mc Coys nowadays?

Also it is possible to have a drink in the real life pub that was used in Glenroe. Molly Malone's in Kilcoole, outside Greystones

Presumably Martyrs Memorial will soon be renamed St Peter's Basilica ;D

Have to agree. Smith beats Strachan for tactical awareness hands down. John Collins might be a better long term bet for Celtic as manager.

Gonna be tremendously hard to qualify now as I don't think 9 points will be enough this year. Shaktar will take 3 off Benfica at home and at least draw with Milan at home, which would leave them on 10 (assuming that Celtic beat them at Parkhead) That would leave Celtic needing something from the San Siro (and Milan will be fired up after what happened in Glasgow) and a win over Shaktar by at least 3 goals at home.

Sammy being old and shite at football is not necessarily a reason to be debarred from IFA selection. Look at the likes of Sammy Morgan, Peter Rafferty, Tommy Jackson etc ;D

Another disappointing result away from home. Even more so when the Huns can go and win in Lyon with a team on paper vastly inferior to Celtic's.

I intend to raise this point at the AGM in Glasgow on November 19th. I fear my huge investment in the club is not paying dividends

Lets start giving them a helping hand.

Hows about,

In 25 years losing your Monopoly Nationalist vote to become a minority nationalist party, facillitated by your leader.

Bringing Barcelona and Real Madrid Reserves to the Bogside.

General discussion / Re: "Common Travel Area" to end

This is good news imho. I also never leave the country without my passport when travelling anywhere, the UK included. Also it will put clear blue water (in addition to the physical stuff that is discoloured by Sellafield) metaphorically between Britain and Ireland, and help emphasize the distinction in people's minds internationally. As far as I'm concerned Finchley is as foreign as France and this will help to reinforce this ;D

Hopefully this will all lead to a complete reformation of FIFA and UEFA with the removal of all anomalies like the existence of four separate and distinct footballing entities (ie the IFA,SFA,FAW,and the English FA) emanating from one political jurisdiction. In short there should only be one Football Association and One International side representing England, Scotland, Wales and the 6 counties
