Solomon, I have never been to a N.I game at Windosr so do take your points in good faith. I appreciate that alot of effort has been made since this incident amongst the many decent NI fans that there are out there. Solomon, it is less than a deacde since Neil Lennon received disgusting sectarian/rascist (butter it up how you like)abuse from a section of N.I supporters, while representing the team.
It was clear that this was not being perpetrated by a a handful of people. of people. At the time there were hundreds invovled, some probably having a go for the craic of it! Have these idiots suddenly withdrawn support for the team and no longer attend games??, or have their mindsights significantly changed. Some possibly yes, the majority i would think not!!

No surprise that the GAA and Irish culture  in general is seen by many unioinists as alien, considering for decades Irish culture and northern catholics were oppressed and subject to constant suspicion and ridicule. Cant expect this mindsight to change overnight, but it will, prob be the next generation though, who will perhaps have a  greater sense of Irishness, than previous ones who were raised on insecurities concerning all things Irish.
hopefully this can be reflected in their participation in Gaelic games.

Ulster Championship this year is as wide open as it has been in over 10 years.
Excluding Antrim and poss Cavan based on recent form, all teams would fancy their chances of getting a run to the final and winning the thing.
Also believe that where in previous years Armagh and Tyrone were often focused soley on All Ireland honours, this years championship would mean a hell of a lot to all the counties involved and should result in fiercly competitive championship.

Bottom line is that he is inheriting a very ordinary group of English players at the moment, who are behind Wales, France and could be argued Ireland in the pecking order, (although im yet to be convinced).  Cant see this making a massive difference, could be wrong!!
