You have lost me a bit here skull, have new league structures been proposed/ agreed and if so what are they? I think its a bit off the mark to complain about the opposition trying in a league match by the way.

GAA Discussion / Re: Corcoran bows out

Thats Lohan, McMahon and Corcoran all gone this winter, a huge blow to hurling at a time when it needs stars to liven it up. Cork will miss him but a county that size must be able to find a big ball winning full forward from somewhere.

Just announced last week that bushmills was withdrawing its sponsorship of Antrim GAA and sponsoring rugby instead. Not sure of the competition but they had Mick Galwey, WJ McBride and Jeremy Davidson in the photo shoot. Having said that at various times Antrims sponsorship by Bushmills has lead to problems such as the logo being taped over before a match because it clashed with the guiness sponsorship. Yet another headache for the Antrim county board.

Hurling Discussion / Re: All Ireland Club Hurling

Cushendall may go better this year than in previous years due to a very shrewd manager on the sideline and the ability to play the underdog very well. They went into this years Antrim final as reigning champs against a team that had not won a title for 17 years and still managed to make themselves underdogs. Does anyone know any odds for the club championships? The Dall could be a good each way bet

County Antrim,

Club Glen Rovers Armoy

Best memory Having the priviledge to be in Croke Park August 6th 1989 to see Antrim 4-15 Offally 1-15 and Cloot helping himself to 2-4. Great respect for the Biffos after that, making a gaurd of honour when you have just lost an all ireland semi brought sportmanship in the GAA to a new level. I wish some of our footballing cousins could learn something from the Offally team that day

As far as i understand the 2007 draw, and I could be wrong, Antrim and Galway go into a group with the preliminary losers in Munster and Leinster probably Clare and Laois ( No offence meant to either county) .This means two things first off Ger Loughnanes Galway V Clare plenty of sparks and hot air there. Secondly we are going to have beat Laois, difficult but a realistic goal, and one of Galway or Clare to progress. Our best chance would be a home game against Clare especially with Lohan and McMahon gone, two huge holes in the Clare team. Against that Clare have been very succesful in the qualifiers in recent years. Heres hoping for a miracle yet again, tis better to live in hope than die in despair. ::)
