I must say i'm amazed that you have abandoned the idyllic setting of Portadown after u waxing lyrical about the halcyon days of your youth there and the amazing cross commnuity spirit it fostered.

Haven't been paying much attention to the FBD this year so had to dig up who started at the weekend for Galway and the team was
Brian O'Donoghue (Claregalway)
Cathal Silke (Corofin)
Declan Kyne (An Fháirche)
Liam Silke (Corofin)
Johnny Heaney (Killanin)
Thomas Comer (Williamstown)
Enda Tierney (Oughterard)
Paul Conroy (St James)
Tom Flynn (Athenry)
Sean O'Curraoin (Carna Caiseal)
Eddie Hoare (St Michael's)
Sean Denvir (Michael Breathnach)
Niall Walsh (Killanin)
Adrian Varley (Cortoon Shamrocks)
Danny Cummins (Claregalway)
He's given plenty of lads a chance to be fair to him, given we've lost Lundy & Duane we need to find at least 4 new players who can make the next step up this year. I'd like to think we'll see improvements from Liam Silke, O'Currain, Flynn, Shane Walsh, Comer & Adrian Varley this year and surely Conroy will have a better year after a poor one last year.
I'd expect Tyrone to get promoted so that leaves one spot up for grabs; I suspect Galway, Armagh, Derry & Meath will all be pushing for promotion and I'm sure Cavan will too although I don't think they will whilst Fermanagh & Laois will be content to stay in the division. I was expecting promotion this year whilst we benefit from a settled side with a few new additions but given we've lost Lundy & Duane and the likes of Hanley, Bradshaw, O'Donnell, Sice, the Sweeney's & Shane Walsh haven't appeared in the FBD for a variety of reasons I'm not sure what to expect. Given a lot of the teams look to be on a similar level I suspect 10 points would certainly be enough to gain promotion whilst it may only take 9 like last year.

Well that'll pipe down some delusion pool fans and obsessed media commentators
The latter part of that statement is more credible than the former. Don't think too many Pool fans are getting ahead of themselves. Whereas the media are in awe of JK. Poor performance, just like home to Palace, didn't deserve to win. On to the next one.Quote from: Keyser soze on December 03, 2015, 03:30:14 PM
I think Liverpool have every chance of winning the League, there's nothing out there to terrify anybody.
Hmmm?? I could quote a lot more but this will do for starters

The West won't bomb their Saudi mates.
And therein lies the problem...instead of closing off their own borders closed down the influx of Isis heading into Syria ... Cutting of the supplies will eventually work a lot better than bombing the shit out of it.... Gather up all the radical preachers also and get talking (or paying)

I doubt if a majority of the 26 county electorate would vote for a UI,a prerequisite as well as a Northern majority I would presume.Interesting at a Brexit conference I attended in Newry (due to the location the vast majority of the audience was Northern nationalist) recently, one of the guest speakers Bertie Ahern, emphasised at the start that he was there in the capacity as a "good neighbour", not as a fellow Irish nationalist, now if that's the way an old time Fianna Fáil leader thinks,God help us all.
If by some miracle there was a majority vote in favour of a UI,North and South,Northerners would be viewed with suspicision and inevitably treated as second class citizens and not regarded as being truly Irish.
The way forward is the establishment a promotion of a Common Northern Irish identity, to push sectarianism and xenophobia out to the margins, with the existing de facto joint authority between Britain and the 26 counties, with the 26 counties beefing up their current endorsing of everything Britain says role.
