Watched it again there a few times. Shocking play acting in fairness if anything he connected with Conway's elbow.

Big problem for McEntee though is committee's are loathe to go against referee's reports and while McEntee did not connect with Conway's face he did lead with his elbow to tackle the ball which is dangerous play... there could be more ructions with this one I think!

Feck off DH! My knee injury has meant I slapped on a few extra pounds although I'm only 14'4 which is better than the 15' I balloonned to last Christmas. Seeing the dietician this week to hopefully get myself around the 13.5 mark for the start of the season... to infinity and beyond!

Good to see that player issues are top of Dessie's list  ::) ::) ::)  They must have little to be doing at the GPA if they're looking to sue County Secretary's!

I doubt it's O'Neill's this time the GAA have taken this new brand thing fairly seriously and I'd say they laid down the law to any kit manufacturers looking use the logo. Is anyone on this site? www.brand.gaa.ie

I was curious about it and registered, there's a lot of stuff on there. Just said I was the youth officer looking about branding information for a club newsletter in case anyone is looking for a plausible reason to join the site other than telling them you're just curious.

downgirl,

have to agree with you on the down jersey, the one mickey was wearing in that photo was the best in recent times. the current one looks as if it has a tire track running along the front of it. bought a retro gaa down jersey recently, simple and easy on the eye. jerseys are becoming over done these days, dont see the need for stipes and dots plastered over the thing. while im complaining, not fussed on the new GAA logo either, why does it have to be blue? that will clash with the red and black of down:(
Got an email from O'Neills a few weeks back which stated that all new jerseys being made will now have the new GAA logo on them & that the crest would only be available in blue or white.

Yeah Derry's jersey has the blue GAA logo on it as well.

Oh and the game is online

www.tg4.tv

Click on the sport link on the left hand side and the game should be there.

Just watched it again... Conway's left foot was in the square when he passed the ball and from what I could see the ball was in too. I don't think it was square ball.

The free that was given against Cross that led up to the goal was dubious as the Ballinderry player had a foot in when the cross player went to pick up the ball although the Cross player made no attempt to get his toe under the ball. Darren Conway overcarried just before the kick that came off the post also but then McConville also did for his goal.

Oisin's goal should have been disallowed for taking nine steps!!!

Neda watch the tape 2nite to make sure of that one, but im nearly certain he fouled on the ball by switching hands? Neda watch it tonight to be certain, but i thought it at the time

Where did this changing hands myth come from? Utter nonsense!

Thoroughly enjoyable game and excellent commitment from both sides. Some of the hits would send a shudder through spine. Some great scores on both sides as well. Devlin and Muldoon were immense while McEntee and McKenna impressed me for Cross. Unfortunate incident that saw John Mac sent off hopefully it will be rescinded and he can play the next game. Really looking forward to the replay!

Just finished watching the first 6 series of the West Wing for a 2nd time... best show ever written. If only Josiah Bartlett was President of the United States I would be happy that it was in capable hands!

Anyone seen Zack and Miri Make a Porno? I've seen most of Kevin Smith's stuff before and wondering if this will be as good? Snoochie Booches anyone?

General discussion / Re: iphone or ipod touch?

Sorry Frank I missed your last reply there.

I have my touch topped with music podcasts and also a few video podcasts and movies as well.

Apart from that I have a few games like darts, pool, checkers, keepy uppy,, space monkey and I also purchased Crash Bandicoot for a few quid which is pretty good for a while.

I also have the BBC iplayer application which is handy to have as well.

The downside though is a lack of connectivity to wifi. We have it in the house and it's also in a few of my mates houses as well which means I get a chance to use it fairly often but it is annoying when you can't get connected. That's the only downside for me. If you do get one though I'd say invest in a decent cover as they are fragile things and you'll go mad if you do anything to it. Luckily mine is tip top but my cousin cracked his iphone after a couple of weeks... I couldn't be doing with that!
