Ademola Lookman scored just four times in near 50 appearances for Everton and he was unused sub in the win against Liverpool in Anfield.

That first half proves those pre-match Atalanta odds was more than decent.  Showing why they beat Liverpool 3-0 in Anfield tonight.

Quote from: Captain Obvious on May 22, 2024, 07:14:15 PMIf in it Liverpool would be favourites for tonight's Europa league final yet you can get odds of 7/2 for Atalanta who beat Liverpool 3-0 in Anfield. A bit of value in those odds?

Liverpool were never favourites while Leverkusen were still in the competition.

Liverpool was favourites. Bayern Leverkusen them became favorurites once Liverpool was eliminated by Atalanta.

How many different managers is that now under Todd Boehly? Pochettino never looked like a good fit for a club that are seeking instant success.

Rashford will be one hoping Southgate isn't the next Manchester United manager.

Quote from: DuffleKing on May 21, 2024, 02:48:29 PMIs that not how it's supposed to work - has Damien McErlain been taking the Derry u15s and u16s for the last few years?

Also - has O'Rourke not been overseeing the Armagh development squads for the last 3/4 years when they have finally started to get some traction?
Eugene O'Callaghan  was the Armagh U16 manager last year and Barra O' Muiri, Brendan Nugent among the coaches.

Quote from: Captain Obvious on May 19, 2024, 11:09:34 AMMinor Semi finals results yesterday

Donegal  1-7 Armagh 2-8
Derry 2-14 Tyrone 1-10

Final May 26th at 1pm in Healy Park

Great to have an Armagh underage team reach the Ulster final. It seems like it has been a long time. O'Rourke has done a very good job with these lads. All the best to them.

O'Rourke stepped into a good gig, the ground work had been done with the coaches in the development panels and this group has been winning trophies at U15/16 level the last two years.  Derry will be tough nut to crack however Armagh should do well in the All Ireland series regardless of how the Ulster final goes this weekend.

Must be a record

Then you have Harry Kane still waiting after all those minutes of action.

Quote from: Aaron Boone on May 19, 2024, 02:55:06 PMDerry wouldn't have been far away from winning it either. It was a very tight Ulster final. They could be counted as the moral champions.

Probably won't have long to wait as will likely be favourites to win the 2025 U20 All Ireland.
Tyrone have a lot of this years team still underage next year and even the year after.
McAneney, Joey Clarke, Ben Hughes, Conor Devlin (2 years left), Callum Daly, Conor O'Neill (2 years left), Eoin McElholm, Ruairi McCullagh (2 years left) and Callum Daly. So Tyrone will probably be looked at as favourites going into next years competition.
Back to back All Ireland titles hasn't been won at U20/U21 level for over 20 years.

Derry who was probably a year ahead of schedule could easily have taken out Tyrone in the Ulster final a few weeks ago in normal time and extra time.  They'll be stronger next year by adding a lot of their 2022,2023 minors to their U20 panel. One of those minor teams was close to winning the All Ireland and the other won the All Ireland so Derry's U20s should be very strong next year and 2026.
